  1. He predicted the same thing last year. (maybe he forgot to carry the two)
  2. We lost Tahir Whitehead, Tre Boston and Teddy Bridgewater.
  3. I don't know if Lance is gonna be good or not, but it can definitely be argued he wound up in the best possible situation for him.
  4. He's also a taskmaster, though. We know from multiple stories he has high standards.
  5. Same. Heck, maybe they did it for laughs
  6. Combination of both, I'd say. The idea got out there and everybody ran with it. For their part, I'd guess Lynch, Shanahan and Peters probably found the whole thing amusing.
  7. Other inside stories have previously said it was always Lance. It's just never been officially acknowledged till now. I will grant a lot of the work was done for them by people making incorrect assumptions.
  8. Agree with all of this. Rhule isn't the Xs and Os genius, but head coaches don't have to be if they have coordinators who are.
  9. Gotta give it to 'em, well played. Honestly not sure what the point was, though. Once they were at #3, they had their pick.
  10. If Rhule doesn't win the Super Bowl this year he needs to be on the hot seat!!! Yeah...like that
  11. Good points. We gave Henning a lot of hell back then but I think we see now that he was legitimately one of the best OCs we had. Fox was the problem.
  12. I'd guess they're not done yet, seeing as right now there's two #15s, two #40s and two #47s.
  13. Pretty sure I was with me all day, but if you say so
  14. To be fair, the Super Bowl adjustment was probably more Henning than Fox.
  15. Oddly enough, was actually taking a look at the roster earlier today and happened to notice that the new punter no longer had a number. Wondered if there might be changes a comin'
  16. Being reported he'll be getting his wish to change to #2. Tommy Stevens changes to #15. Punter Oscar Draguicevich will have to change too since he has 15 before. Guess that means Shi Smith gets #12.
  17. Because somebody reported it? To be specific, the author of the NFL.com article that I read about Moses's release 'reported" it. (I don't remember his name)
  18. There's probably a whole discussion to be had about what kind of guys you want manning your offensive line. Power running teams have tended to use massive road grader types, while teams that employ West Coast style schemes like us often depend on lighter, more agile / athletic types (the 49ers of the 80s worked well with guys like Harris Barton and Jesse Sapolu, for example). I know one school of thought is that you go massive in the middle and more athletic on the outside, and that kind of seems to fit who we have. But we've also seen Rhule and Fitterer demonstrate a preference for athleticism in general. Guess we'll see how it works out.
  19. That punishment was reserved for those who forgot to wear ties.
  20. Probably also worth remembering that our head coach has some background working as an O-line coach.
