From what I've read, it sounds like they're keeping Garoppolo so they have a good backup in case their starter goes down.
-
I'm curious: Do you already have an excuse prepared for when this prediction goes wrong or are you going to wait and make something up on draft night?
-
Do you have any examples from the post Weinstein / #metoo era?
-
None of the situations you cited have multiple accusers, and certainly not two dozen of them.

After two allegations that either didn't even make it to court we're going to settled quickly and quietly. You really want to try and make a case something like that is going to happen here?
-
Once you start throwing out terms like sexual predator, sex offender, etc. it looks pretty grim. You can't trade for that guy. I'm not even sure you can keep that guy if you've already got him.
-
Give it up, dude. The whole idea was silly to begin with and it's only looking sillier the more you keep it up.

You've got to figure it's some kind of fetish or addiction or psychological problem or something. I've been wondering if, at some point, Watson's defense would turn into "yes technically he did it but he has a problem so it isn't really his fault". Hasn't gone that way so far but I'd say that's still a possibility.
-
"Closure" here doesn't necessarily mean he pays off the accusers and everything goes away. One pretty universal part of each of the lawsuits has been the demand for an admission of guilt. Maybe some of the women will back off from that but I wouldn't put money on all of them doing it. And if Watson doesn't want to, is a settlement possible? Supposing he does admit it though? That basically amounts to an admission of being a serial sexual predator. And does that then raise the possibility of him having to register as a sex offender? If so, how does that affect his status? Bottom Line: This is a mess, and I wouldn't put any money whatsoever on it being resolved easily or simply.
-
You'd lose. Albert Breer talked to the 49ers. The reason they didn't trade up to number two is because they know the Jets aren't moving off of taking Zach Wilson. This theory you've been spamming all over the place is pretty goofy.

Technically 25 now counting the woman interviewed in the article. And her story apparently predates the timeline of the others so who knows how long this might have been going on? Throw in that you can't use the "just looking for money or fame" excuse on her because she's getting neither. To quote the late Jack Dawson, "This is bad".
-
I get what you mean, but personally I don't know that I'd call anything about this story "fun". Right now it looks just awful.
-
Drugs and partying are not really the same as being a potential sexual predator. I'd add the latest story from SI makes it look pretty bad for him.
-
Yeah...That's bad, especially given that SI reached out to her without even knowing that she had ever worked with Watson.
-
And if it turns out he actually did the things he's being accused of?
-
Understood. Pretty sure Jeremiah is looking at it only from the talent aspect.

I walk in to check out a home and one of the first things I see is a coffin, I'm out. -
My worry with Darnold is that he's been David Carr'd. The stuff about him seeing ghosts and hearing footsteps is pretty decent evidence of that possibility.

As someone who lives with a Cowboys fan, I can tell you I'm not gonna be the guy to equal that. -
The decision to bring him in would have been a subject of discussion, but when it came to the contract offer neither Matt Rhule nor Joe Brady nor anybody else would likely have had much to say. Tepper? Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it. Yes, Tepper did trust Marty. Thankfully, he learned that was a mistake, but that he ever did doesn't really say much for him.
