I'm not sure I buy that statement. Even if true, it could be a "for now" type of thing.

They have yet to trade down from their first round pick though.

Denver breaks the bank for Wilson... It eclipses the Watson contract in total dollars, but not guaranteed money.

Oh yeah

I will always wonder what would have happened had we targeted Steve McNair rather than Collins.

From Joe Person in The Athletic Person's speculation: Shenault could fit in a lot of different places as soon as he gets comfortable in Ben McAdoo’s offense. The two were together for a season in Jacksonville when McAdoo was the Jaguars’ quarterbacks coach. So he’s well familiar with Shenault’s dual-threat ability. According to TruMedia, Shenault lined up in the backfield 41 times in two seasons with Jacksonville. He had five catches for 17 yards out of the backfield to go with 18 carries for 72 yards. Rhule's comments: Rhule said the Panthers are happy with their Christian McCaffrey-led running back group and that Shenault would not be attending meetings with the backs. But it’s easy to envision McAdoo coming up with a special package for Shenault, especially considering how impressed Rhule was when he watched the tape of Shenault’s running plays. “Again, that’s not the vision for him,” he said. “But when you see a guy that runs the football and runs through contact the way he does. Put him out on the perimeter, he brings an edge to your offense that you love to have.” Shenault's feelings: Shenault, who reached 600 receiving yards in both of his seasons in Jacksonville, is cool with the comparisons to Patterson, the Rock Hill, S.C., native whose 153 rushing attempts last year with Atlanta were more than twice as many as his previous single-season high. But Shenault doesn’t want people to forget about his receiving skills. “Hopefully, I’m able to get in different positions and take that top off,” he said, “because I’m very capable of doing so.” To be clear, while Rhule's comments don't echo what Person expects, that could just be an attempt to not let slip how they plan to use him. Guess we'll see in about ten days...

Trust me. As someone reading your posts, I understand quite well what "limited" means.

Not necessarily a final cut but dumping Steve Beuerlein to go with Jeff Lewis (which then never happened) still pisses me off.

...but felt the price was too high

Zylstra. Granted, that's more hope than guess...

Zach's take carries a lot of weight. He's not just talking about this event but the team in general.
-
For $350 a person? Do they think the average fan can afford that?

Another former Panther that I didn't know was still around
-
I remember wishing we'd kept Brandon Wegher.
-
Couple former Panthers here...
-
Thought he was decent...
-
Definitely
-
I get that, but that's not in the team's plans.
-
Yeah...that makes no sense at all.

The guy who owns it was one of the bidders in the team sale.

Or infamous, depending on who you ask

When she was initially asked about it on the Around the NFL podcast, she stated those were his exact words. I don't believe she lied, and as much as she's tried to spin things and walk back her comments, she's never actually denied that was what he said. Yeah, she's likely screwed up her relationship with Baker and others, but personally I think the reaction to it has been overblown. Hell, most of the people in this thread cheered him for it.

The plan is for Darnold to be the backup once he's healed. I do think Eason is a better quarterback than Walker though. Gonna hate it if, when Darnold comes back, we dump Eason in favor of PJ.
