  1. It's not Ickey, Corbett, Elflein or Christensen because they can be seen elsewhere in the picture. Also seriously doubt it's Moton.
  2. Had a guy that's supposed to be more of a bruiser in Foreman but I didn't see him get used a whole lot this Sunday either.
  3. I really don't see a lot of value in the whole "what if this" and "what if that" stuff about the game. What it all ultimately boils down to is "What if all the stuff that was bad about our team, our coaching staff and the game we played this past Sunday was good?" Well, that'd be great, wouldn't it? But it isn't, and it wasn't, and it's not going to change so there's not a lot we can do about that except talk about it, which is ultimately kinda useless. Probably time to move on...
  4. I don't. I know some others do but not me.
  5. No, that's...not affected Her general mood whenever the topic of football comes up is though
  6. A hundred yards... (hundred and twenty if you're counting the end zones) Width is fifty-three yards...
  7. Several people this offseason told me they had "facts" to back up that Rhule was going to be a better coach this year. When I asked them to cite what those facts were, the vast majority stated one of two things: "His college teams got better in year three" or "We had the number two defense in the NFL last year". As has been pointed out, Rhule's college teams also improved in year two, but his pro team finished with the same record and actually looked worse so counting on the year three magic doesn't really make much sense. The number two defense thing was always silly, but I think after Sunday not too many people are going to be referring back to that. Now "I'm trying to be positive" or "I'm trying to keep an open mind" is perfectly valid, but it's not a fact. You said "facts", so with that in mind I'm willing to hear what facts you think you have. I'd keep in mind though that since you said you're not talking about the past, anything you cite from previous seasons will be hindered by that statement.
  8. Didn't twist your words at all. I told you why they were wrong. Matt Rhule is what he is, and is what he has always been. He was never qualified to be an NFL head coach, and that's not going to change overnight, or even in a season. The best thing that can happen to the team is for him to be replaced.
  9. It's not week 1. It's week 35. And so far, not a whole lot looks different than the past 34 weeks. In fact, last week actually looked worse than anything I've seen in the two years to date. You can say "maybe this team is different" but until I see some actual evidence of that, I'm not buying.
  10. That depends on whether I want what's best for the Panthers or what's best for Matt Rhule. A better record this season followed by three more seasons of losing isn't a good outcome for the team. So since I don't believe Matt Rhule is qualified to be an NFL coach, what should I hope for? (hoping that he becomes one isn't a valid option either)
  11. The house would also like you to know that Ian Thomas is a very good tight end.
  12. There are a few different things I could say in response to this, but most of them would get me in trouble
  13. Calling somebody a "hater" really only has validity when there's some evidence that the object of that hate might actually be good. Do you see anything like that for Matt Rhule?
  14. Yeah, the "defense is bad because the offense is leaving them tired" argument doesn't really work when they're bad from the very first play.
  15. I will state this straight up and for the record... Give me a young offensive mind like Brian Callahan, a role on offense for his dad Bill, Vic Fangio as DC with a young protegé to train behind him and Chris Tabor staying on for special teams, I will jump on that train with both feet, both hands, both eyes and at least one of my ass cheeks!
  16. I'd hire him as a DC in a heartbeat. It's been mentioned that a pretty good portion of the league is borrowing from his schemes and ideas right now. As a head coach though? Not so sure.
  17. I do wonder if there's a possibility of Snow falling on the sword to protect Rhule by resigning.
  18. If the defense continues to look like it does now but he fires somebody other than Phil Snow, it's gonna be... interesting.
  19. The game plan was awful to begin with, as has been pointed out more than once. This thread contains numerous reputations of your idea, not just mine.
  20. They got what they needed to win the game. That's all that really matters. It's basically the same discussion as last year's "we had the number two defense" thing.
  21. Baker was better in the second half too. The defense was ass through all four quarters. Yet the OP is trying to put the blame for the entire game on Mayfield's first half performance. It's just terrible logic.
