  1. Hell, I said before the season started that I would accept a worse record as long as it looked like we were improving (and got ripped for it) Instead, we ended up with the same record and a team that looked worse.
  2. To be fair, there aren't many ideas he's not at least somewhat open to The price has to be right, of course.
  3. I get keeping McCall, but at the same time I've seen plenty of guys like McCall look great in the preseason then disappear when the games that counted got started. Just have to hope he's not one of those guys...
  4. Pretty accurate... I still see people arguing that Rhule deserves the benefit of a doubt. I have yet to see a good reason why he's earned that.
  5. I'm shocked when people think stats are the best way to measure interior defensive linemen, but hey... Nixon is a guy I remember being decent last year, and again I'm not alone in that. Both Roaring Riot's guy Josh Klein and our buddy John Ellis (you know, the one who actually does film studies rather than just looking at stats) were surprised at Nixon being cut over others. Heck, Ellis named him as someone he thought might contend for starting reps this year. Mind you, I've already had one guy telling me he has more credibility than Ellis on this sort of thing. Should I expect that from you as well?
  6. To do it with Dennis Green they'd need a seance. The Saints head coach is Dennis Allen.
  7. I have no argument with the Super Bowl prediction. Saints in the NFC Championship though?
  8. That was Capers first draft after Polian moved on, right?
  9. I would. Collins had great size for a quarterback but I'd give Mayfield the edge in talent.
  10. The Bills over the Packers, who win the NFC championship over...the Saints Panthers don't make the playoffs, but Christian McCaffrey gets Comeback Player of the Year.
  11. 2001 was a phenomenal draft... ...followed by a horrible season and the firing of the guy who ran it
  12. Best draft: First one that comes to mind is 2017. McCaffrey, Moton, Butker (oy), even Samuel and Armah had some value to them. Worst? 2009 was just awful. 2010 wasn't much better, and of course everything after Newton in 2011 was almost useless.
  13. There's gonna be a lot of contenders for part two of that question
  14. Getting the little things right is something successful teams do. That said, there's far greater evidence of Matt Rhule being incompetent than this move in particular.
  15. Meaning that what some people attribute to "coachspeak" is actually incompetence. I've yet to see enough good to convince me I should trust Matt Rhule when it comes to roster building.
  16. It all comes off kinda funny, though. This was just a few days ago... Then today, they bring in a guy who's more run stuffer than pass rusher and say this about Nixon... I know someone will say "coachspeak" that doesn't really explain everything. It's also kind of hard to miss that Fitterer says one thing and then Rhule says/does another.
  17. You thinking your opinion has anywhere close to the credibility Ellis has...
  18. Rhule indicated in his comments that he and the assistant coaches made the decision about Nixon, at least. That's not unusual. Once you get to the season itself, coaches have set the depth chart and tend to have more input into things like that.
  19. Here's a better suggestion for determining your draft order...
  20. It is. This is one of those "predicted" (read: hypothetical) trades that lesser websites pull out of their ass.
