  1. Thanks for sharing, OP, but after about a minute of his on-screen painful awkwardness, I just couldn't keep watching.
  2. CMC is back, new QB, help on the O-line and the rest of the NFCSouth has more questions in it than we've seen in a decade. We certainly have the possibility of it. It is going to come down to coaching. I want us to win and win big this year, but Rhule and Co. really need to prove themselves. If they can't and the situation is this favorable for them to, then it was never and will never happen for them. The fruit is ripe and hanging low on the tree. Don't screw this up.
  3. Anyone want to run a non-pay to play league?
  4. Great guy, great story, we could still use him here.
  5. Didn't know this was going to be a pay league going in. I guess I'm out.
  6. The cool answer I want to give is Capers, because he did some amazing stuff with the league's cast offs. However -- I've got to give the award to John Fox for his Super Bowl run and two NFC title game appearances. He simply did not have the personnel that Rivera did and somehow he still made it work. Peppers and Smitty were HoF players to be sure, but Rivera had Cam and Luke to balance that out. Fox coached comebacks regularly, ones that we had no way of winning. Rivera, ehhh, not so much. He either beat you with his gameplan coming in or he didn't beat you at all.
  7. He had authority issues, real hard case. Just wanted to get a bite to eat and move on.
  8. Honestly, I have no idea what kind of football team they are trying to build here. Sure would feel better if I thought THEY knew what kind of football team they are trying to build here. Sometimes I still get the feeling that Fit is the "in on every deal" kind of guy that other GMs abuse.
  9. Gas ain't that high, man. You make it sound like it's $250 a gallon.
  10. Okay, so, someone set up each a FFL and a Pick 'em. I want in on each, even though I'm terrible at them.
  11. I said this back when it was first looking like Baker would be coming here and I got laughed out of the room. It's amazing how perspectives have changed in the short time since. Hope it all works out great.
  12. I think they may have lost their other LT candidate to injury this weekend as well. And his back-up/competitor for the spot is injured, too. Under normal circumstances, we'd have a shot, but I'm still not sure we don't have the fourth place coach in the division. Still... even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
  13. You aren't wrong here, but I think he earned a roster spot at RB3 with that work. Do we carry four RBs? Will CMC make it through the season?
  14. That's what I posted and I'll never post that again. Sheeeee-ish.
  15. Why do we keep trying to get players from the Jets? Their team has sucked for decades, they can't draft, they can't coach and they rarely win. I mean, if you want to become the Jets, this is how you do it. Why not, and this might sound radical here, try to get modest performers from the good teams instead of modest performers from the bad teams?
  16. Just no injuries, that's what I'm hoping for. The preseason games, really, are stupid.
  17. Yeah, they did well with it. I'll be tuning in. Lots of Easter eggs.
  18. I'm just going to point out that by his third season as head coach here, Rhule will have put four, FOUR, first round draft picks into the starting QB position here (five if you count Cam twice at the very beginning, then having him come back last season). Baker may or may not play great here, but if he doesn't you can certainly make a case that it might be the team leadership and not the onfield leadership that's the problem here. At some point, the coach has to be responsible for what he makes of the ingredients he's been given.
  19. Can't argue with you, but the rising tide lifts all boats.
  20. That's fine. Rest our definite starters, get some experience for the back ups and get out of there with no injuries. The game isn't supposed to matter, don't make it matter.
  21. I can't argue with you there and I've been saying he isn't a pro-ready HC since the early days of this regime. I also don't believe in Phil Snow or that there is even an overall concept for this team. I'm not even that big on Fitterer. And don't get me started on Tepper... But, if they all prove me wrong, then a dinner of crow I will eat and enjoy. It's better to be the happy fool than the bitter genius most days.
  22. Anderson: Who's that bear? Matt Eberflus: Well, that's your new uniform. Welcome to Chicago. Lot of bears around here, less confusion for you.
