  1. They ruined their own narrative in that regard will two years of "win now" moves. They didn't believe that and they never believed that. It's also not reality. It doesn't take that long to build a winning NFL team.
  2. He doesn't care about the fans even remotely. He basically called us basement dwellers(which was actually funny, TBH) in the Steve Smith interview. He probably cares about winning but he doesn't believe that he made the wrong decision yet. That will come later.
  3. He is literally historically bad. Literally.
  4. That's pretty standard for that crowd. They always whine about negativity but they always disappear when things get rocky. Funny how most of the people they claim are overly negative are usually here for the wins and the losses. Guess we see who the fairweather fans really are.
  5. I agree with this. I think Tepper truly believes he is some sort of genius level guy that just sees things that aren't there. I'm sure this is spurned by his business successes where he stayed the course and was proven right. Well, this is the NFL. He doesn't have the football acumen to realize what everyone else already has, Matt Rhule will never be a successful head coach in the NFL. He could get 3-4 more years of NFL experience and he still wouldn't know how to be successful in the NFL. It's not in him and he isn't a real football guy like he makes himself out to be.
  6. I think he took the job because it was a clear path upward in his career. That's probably about all it was, TBH.
  7. Even if they do, it's not going to get much better. I'll just about guarantee that. It will still be Ikey making mistakes(albeit perhaps not as frequently) and BC getting mauled at LT.
  8. It's literally not hiding. I am as skeptical of Fitterer as it gets but we really don't have any clue what percentage of his moves are "his" moves because he isn't even a real GM. Which is also fuging stupid, BTW. The fact that Tepper agreed to that structure shows how fuging clueless he was.
  9. Yeah, you need to watch more. Most of these guys are getting beat. It's not Elflein's fault BC gets beat. It's not BC's fault Ikey gets beat. It's a bad unit with a rookie that was most likely always going to be bad(feel free to read up on Andrew Thomas who we played today and his rookie season), a very undersized LG of questionable ability, a fuging terrible center and a ho-hum journeyman RG.
  10. Fitterer will start taking heat when Rhule is gone. He's subordinate to Rhule. That's why he doesn't get as much heat.
  11. That's why some of us kept saying that it was a bad sign that he wasn't employed in the NFL after his HC gig. McAdoo isn't some sort of offensive genius. A QB like Rodgers is going to make any OC look better because he is a fuging HOFer. People have to stop attaching HOF caliber athletes successes so tightly to coaching. That's not true that often. More than not, it's the elite player being elite.
  12. It's well beyond just Elflein and Ekwonu. BC was getting dump trucked and Corbett was getting tossed around. This is why I really could not understand why people thought this was going to be "one of the best OL's we've ever had." I literally have no idea what those people were thinking. This was pretty predictable.
  13. He does want to re-sign with Baltimore. They just disagree on the amount of guaranteed money on the deal.
  14. I am curious how long of a losing streak he would need to accomplish to get canned. There is a slight chance we may find that out.
  15. In fairness, Burns might pay about $16k for the latter half result....
  16. Not sure who Done is. Either way, I am taling about veterans, not our younger players that resigned(DJ, DM). If you notice, most real veteran NFL players don't stick here very long(Reddick, Gilmore, etc). And we don't seem to be able to sign many more than borderline NFL players and journeyman we overpaid for. TBD on this year's crop, so maybe that narrative changes. I find it much more likely that Rhule is inevitably fired and this discussion just basically becomes a post-event. It's so very specific that I have a hard time believing that there isn't more widespread talk about this. Especially if that kind of dysfunction they reference. This hasn't exactly been an organization that has had an easy time keeping insider rumors from the public sphere.
  17. IDK if I buy all this. I can buy that the players don't believe in some of the things our coaches are doing but we are also not seeing our younger players jump ship. However, almost any veteran we try to retain leaves. So that isn't nothing. If even bits or pieces of this are true, it's pretty bad. Also, the idea that Snow's defense is basically college tier has literally been said by league sources about us since 2020. So I don't know if that is some sort of revelation. Either way, it's an interesting read.
  18. Flutie overcame his height disadvantage with his other great abilities. And also copious amounts of Flutie Flakes.
  19. I actually don't think that. I honestly think they are going to end up with the majority of them being just bad picks. I don't think they know how to identify and more importantly develop successful NFL traits for players. We will see.
  20. I don't think McCall is going to be the silver bullet that people believe he is. He might be an upgrade but I don't think it's likely he is the upgrade that we want.
