  1. Supposedly Teddy was good in the locker room too but I think they both suffer from the same thing, everyone in that locker room knows they can't do their job properly. I would imagine that makes it pretty tough to suit up every Sunday knowing the biggest piece of the puzzle just can't get it done. But, back to the OL......I know that BC had a rough 4th quarter in his solo start, but I'd rather see him get more reps in this new rushing attack than Erving's lazy ass.
  2. You have an unhealthy Darnold obsession. It's as equally as weird as your Cam Newton hatred. I've never seen such a dichotomy of loving such a truly awful player yet hating the best player in franchise history. It's REAL weird, man.
  3. How he is still playing amazes me. The coaches see this every time he plays yet they trot him back out there.
  4. The most fire I have seen in a Panthers QB recently was probably Kyle Allen. But, I am also comparing them to Cam Newton who wore his emotions on his sleeve. But, in fairness, not every great QB was a fiery leader.
  5. I bet that dude gets his day ruined by this board all the time. It is absolutely hilarious.
  6. I wish we had a 3rd round pick for Fletcher Cox. Sign me up for that. His contract is insanely cheap for 2022 and 2023.
  7. I suspect by the time we have a real quarterback we will have a new head coach.
  8. It's funny for one of the worst QB's in franchise history to have ardent fans. I don't remember this with Clausen.
  9. Let's see how he typically has fared. 2021 Bad Throw %: 18.5 Pressure %: 27.7 2020 Bad Throw %: 18.5 Pressure %27.5 2019 Bad Throw %: 17.8 Pressure %: 28.0 2018 Bad Throw %: 19.3 Pressure %: 19.8 Looks like while his Pressure % has a 8.2 point span, his Bad Throw % only has a 1.5 point span. He is remarkably similar across the board. Makes me wonder how that compares to other bust QB's in similar situations. David Carr, Mitch Trubisky, etc.
  10. It's funny to see the way people interpret these stats or just don't read them at all.
  11. You are literally describing Intended Air Yards/Attempt. They are surprisingly close in that regard(closer than I thought).
  12. Cam never took losses well which I never had an issue with because I want players to win, although he didn't take the losses maturely all the time. I'd still rather have a QB that actually cared about winning and had some fire. We haven't had that since he left.
  13. 174 to 151. Darnold's runs have been less impressive than you are remembering but most people also forget that Teddy actually did have some wheels on him. He actually rushed for 279 yards in 2020.
  14. Well, the Pressure % was still 28.0% through 4 games. Ground production for Darnold is about 5.2 YPC, Teddy was 5.0 YPC. Darnold carried the ball 34 times to Teddy's 30 times. The biggest thing is that Darnold has a nose for the end zone when we are in the red zone and Teddy just did not have that at all. Heck, he didn't have it through the air either.
  15. 2020: 7 total TO's from the QB's. 2021: 10 total TO's from the QB's. I do want to point out that this isn't completely a Teddy vs. Sam list of stats. This does include PJ in both 2020 and 2021 at the 8 game mark of the season.
  16. 19.8% Bad Throw percentage is atrocious too. So is the 27.9% pressure percentage. Yuck.
  17. Oddly, much more productive in YAC this season. That was surprising to see.
  18. Some interesting comparisons from last season and this season(QB, OL, WR). First Down Passing % 2020: 38.1% 2021: 31.9% Intended Air Yards/Pass Attempt 2020: 7.0 2021: 7.9 Completed Air Yards/Pass Attempt 2020: 4.0 2021: 3.2 YAC/Cmp 2020: 4.2 yds 2021: 5.5 yds Drop % 2020: 4.7% 2021: 7.6% Bad Throw%(hilarious side note, PJ Walker has 9 bad throws on 15 attempts this season) 2020: 12.8% 2021: 19.8% Pressure % 2020: 20.1% 2021: 27.9%
  19. He hasn't changed at all. Look at film from the other three teams he has been on in his short career.
  20. The line starts playing mediocre??? poo....sign me up for that!
  21. He has been this guy his entire career. I have no idea why they signed him in the first place.
  22. If you haven't figured it out, @4Corners is basically the dumbest and most useless poster on the Huddle and that is saying a lot.
