WTF kind of dipshit signs a backup QB to a five year contract? That's one of the dumbest things I have ever seen posted on the Huddle.
-
I don't think I'd be willing to do more than a 1 year deal, TBH. He's probably worth a flier at maybe $2-2.5 mil for two years.
-
Not even our biggest UNC homers here would make this kind of a dumbass move. Jesus Christ.
-
Trubisky makes sense on a ONE year deal. Five??? WTF kind of Hurney BS is that? Trubisky literally lost his job to other backups....more than once. Your fuging backup plan is pay a fuging backup QB $25 mil?

GTFO OUR OF HERE, MARTY. GO fug UP WASHINGTON.
-
He'll almost certainly be designated one of our two post June-1st cuts.

It's 14 year Whistlepig, apparently. I thought it was good. -
Copying and pasting a bunch of other people's discussions and posting them as a thread is real fuging weird.

Watson actually took the input of his teammates to the owner, as well. They were all resoundingly ignored. Hell, McNair even ignored the guys he hired to help him selected candidates. At the end of the day, it's easy to see why he just flat out gave up on the Texans. Most of their decision making has been atrocious and that isn't a new thing.

Time to get acquainted with an old fashioned......

The NFLPA is the weakest union in major US professional sports.
-
That is also assuming he wants anything to do with Dallas. TBH, with that head coach there....I wouldn't.
-
Yeah and I have to think that Caserio is well aware that parting with a player of Watson's caliber is going to haunt his entire tenure there if they cannot find a replacement quickly.
-
He better be willing to go play for a veteran minimum contract. Green Bay is currently sitting at about $28 mil over the cap.

It's easy to name the outliers because they are precisely that. If you look at the past 15-20 years of non-1st round QB's, the stats are not kind. And they get far less kind as the rounds go on.

Yes, I have watched quite a few over the time he has been there. The offense stinks but the offense doesn't cause him to make insanely boneheaded throws. That comes from whatever is going on between his ears. Same thing applies to a guy I actually do like in Jameis Winston. Winston played in one of the worst offenses in the NFL for throwing INT's(ask Tom Brady) but a bunch of those INT's were also just him being a gunslinger and making a bad throw.
-
He also failed in St. Louis, Kansas City and Jacksonville. Nick Foles is a back up, just like Teddy is.

I just want to know if slurping all that Cal McNair dong was worth it? How did it taste in comparison to Tepper?

Steelers are hurting for cap space. I doubt it unless they are going to clear out room. Colts, Bucs, Dolphins, Browns, Ravens, all probably have enough cap space to sign him and are contending teams.
