  1. Yeah and "too much patience" is an extremely rare thing in the NFL. For rather obvious reasons, IMO.
  2. I don't think there is really any more reason for people to root for losses to end this regime(which I don't truly understand anyway). It is basically inevitable that Rhule is finished here.
  3. There are a lot of ifs in there, to be sure. I definitely think the roster is much worse than most fans want to believe, so I think rebuilding is going to happen no matter what the scenario. We still have to recover from multiple bad drafts in a row and a lot of bad free agent signings(those will be easier to shed). Also worried about the culture. Indications are that Rhule has populated the place with "his" guys that also share his lack of accountability and some other negative traits. That's not good for a pretty young team. My biggest fear is that this is going to be viewed as a lower tier coaching job and we end up missing out on good candidates.
  4. Not sure I can buy that as much as I buy that he is buying the BS Rhule is spewing because Tepper really doesn't know very much about football. I don't think that is a small thing to overlook, that he really has extremely limited football knowledge but still meddles in the football operation side of things.
  5. Well we did completely strip it and try to build it again. It was just a massive failure. It is going to take knowing who is coming in for me to assess what I think will happen.
  6. I definitely agree from a fans perspective but I also understand it would largely be a net negative for the franchise. Especially when it comes to hiring the next guy.
  7. I don't disagree that there will be some tough choices(and easy choices) but we have no clue what the architect of this new team will be. It's going to be really difficult to get a bead ok who is going and who is staying based on that fact alone.
  8. We are looking at this from a largely reasonable person's perspective. I am not 100% certain that Tepper is in that camp.
  9. If that is the case, then we are truly doomed. There is no hope for anyone but the younger fans because it will only improve when Tepper is no longer the owner.
  10. Yeah, this is the one divisional rival that really needs an ass whipping. Losing to them at home will get Rhule the most heat so far, IMO.
  11. The mid-season fire sale scenario is extremely unlikely. I saw a couple of people mention that and it's basically all but an impossibility. The offseason fire sale is really hard to predict. It's going to really depend on who our new GM is(If Fitterer gets elevated to GM or we bring in someone else) and who our new HC is. Without any idea of the architect of this new "re-rebuilding" I don't see how this is something that is reasonable to assume or want.
  12. I don't think firing him in the next few games accomplishes much but the tone of that piece is extremely concerning. I hope it is not accurate.
  13. My fear is that Tepper isn't capable of discerning what "improvement" looks like. I think he might be buying the smoke and mirrors BS that Rhule is selling.
  14. https://www.nfl.com/news/panthers-owner-david-tepper-expected-to-be-patient-with-head-coach-matt-rhule-as "Sources informed of the Panthers' thinking say no change is imminent for Rhule, with Panthers owner David Tepper planning to be patient rather than reactionary. But wins must come and improvement must be evident." Whelp....
  15. I have tickets. I chose to work a 12 hour shift instead, if that tells you anything.
  16. He'd more like a strip mall preacher.
  17. I don't think the blowouts statt until the team completely gives up. At the current rate that may be the next few games instead of the second half of the season.
  18. I think less and less hardcore fans are caring the same way they used to. Eventually it has to be a mutually beneficial relationship and the team isn't putting out. I can't even remember the last half-hearted HJ that they gave us.
  19. Wrong wouldn't have made Twitter any better. Twitter has always been stupid and pointless. The fact that people didn't see it consistently amazed me.
  20. True and although the narrative for the past two years is the offense causing the D to eventually get tired.....IDK how much I buy that.
  21. I mean.....Tepper tried to do something different with the Rhule hire soooo.....
  22. The offense is definitely far, far worse than the defense but the stats definitely lie about our D. They are not as good as the numbers. They aren't bad but definitely statistically overrated.
