WRs weren't perfect but Young missed some throws when they did get separation and especially Mingo on that bomb where he beat the coverage by a couple steps.

I hate miscues and there were lots of them today. Teams don’t play their starters much in preseason and it shows week 1 in the nfl. Lots of teams looked bad today.

The preseason performances has left a bad taste in a lot pundits mouths

A lot riding on today’s game. If the Panthers look unprepared like they did in the preseason, the pile on will begin. If the Panthers look good, the playoff talk will resume. -
As long as Burns produces at an elite level, it doesn't matter whether he is paid $26 million versus $30 million. It only matters if he doesn't produce at an elite level because no one ever questions overpaying a player that produces.
-
Salary cap is a joke with teams consistently finding money by “refinancing” to free up cap space. Sign the man and who cares if we are over paying because losers let elite players walk.
-
Okay my money is on TMJ to stay healthy then . . . haha.
-
So when do they make final cuts today? Surprise cut?

Players seem to get hurt less in a contract year when they are chasing a bigger pay day. I'd be willing to bet that either Chark or TMJ stay healthy this year.

1st team offense has scored a fg so far. Bryce has taken 3 big hits and 2 of them were bc of Ickey. That’s bad

AR wasn’t that great in college. Look at his stats. I wonder how he can dominate at the pro level when he didn’t dominate at the college level. He’s a freak athlete that’s for sure.
-
Similarities for sure but Cam dominated at Auburn like no other player has ever dominated in college football. AR wasn’t that great in college but has huge potential. Who knows if that potential is ever realized.
-
There is no market for Corral so you might as well hang onto him for this year to see if we can turn him into a back-up. He's not even good enough to be a 3rd string QB at this point.
-
I don't like him either, but the article is fair because Ickey has looked awful.
-
I don't recall ever seeing a Panthers preseason team look this unprepared. I keep telling myself that it is preseason but man they look bad. I guess we'll see week 1 how the team looks.
-
Having a stud RB just isn't as important as it used to be. Look at the top RBs and most of them play for average teams and if they didn't have that RB, the team would still be average. Heck, CMC was as good as it gets and the Panthers still stunk it up with him on our team.
-
Panthers appear to really like Blackshear. Hubbard gets a bad rap for some reason and he's a solid back-up. This offense will showcase Miles Sanders and I'd be surprised if he wasn't ready to roll week 1.
-
This is my concern because our stud LT and RT looked like they were just going through the motions and let our franchise QB get clobbered several times. Ickey and Moton should be setting an example versus mailing it in and I know it is just a preseason game but Bryce can still get hurt.
-
Guard is not our only problem. Tackles looked terrible last game as well.

Name 3 things you are looking for against the giants

The OL and that's all I care about. If they do not drastically improve, I wouldn't even play Young and let Dalton take the beating until they can remember how to block. The OL play was atrocious. -
Let's hope you are not correct and I'm trying to wait a little bit before I freak out about Corbett being out and let's hope he gets back soon.
-
I think this game is a one off. I suspect they'll play much better this week. There is no way our OL all of a sudden went from a strength to a weakness in one preseason game.
-
Might as well let him play the rest of the preseason to see if he can produce. From what I've seen so far, I'm not optimistic but I'm pulling for him. He might not even be good enough to be a back-up.
-
A lot of this depends on the type of offense that the Panthers run because teams that air it out and score a lot of points and/or don't have long drives, impacts the defensive stats.
