I see Indy and San Fran as two real options for Stafford. San Fran especially intrigues me because that team's window is now.

That won't be happening...at least not this year's first. I will say if we stand pat and don't trade or sign a FA QB and the QB we want isn't available at #8, I'd say trade back a little and draft Mac Jones. We get maybe an extra 2nd rounder and a rookie QB who possibly could be a franchise QB. This would be pushing all our chips onto the table, but Jones is getting drafted somewhere in the mid first round.

Stafford makes more sense cost wise than Watson does, but that's on the theory that we draft our future "franchise" QB within the next three years. Detroit is going to want a first rounder back so I am just really unsure what we do now because Detroit is in the QB market and picks #7 ahead of us. Should be interesting....

We may be taking a hard look at Mac Jones, but while we are we also need to be taking a LONG look at the potential OL we have protecting Jones. Mac Jones as an NFL QB will require a stout OL that will give him time to throw the ball....he isn't going to be a dynamic QB creating outside the pocket.

You are ignoring the fact that Pederson was fired partly because Wentz wasn't going to play for him. The Eagles chose Wentz over Pederson. Their GM, Roseman, picked Wentz and is still with the org. Wentz or Hurts won't be traded.

He isn't being moved. With last season's play and his injury history the Iggles won't get a return on him that they think they should. Plus why do you think Pederson was fired?

Stafford would be a good choice even if we do draft our QB of the future!

Matt Ryan hasn't been the problem in Atlanta, it's been their inconsistent OL and running game paired with a defense that was jekyll and hyde and that is in decline. I would be surprised to see the Failcons go QB as that isn't really a pressing need, but I guess weirder things have happened.

In theory if we do trade CMC + for Watson then the + becomes a lot less. Our 2nd rounder this year and next? I don't think Houston gets a 1st rounder if we trade CMC to them....heck it may be they ship back a 3rd rounder to us in such a deal. We have to remember we are probably losing Samuel so it would be nice to be able to keep CMC to replace what Samuel did in the offense this past year. I say go for it and trade some 1st rounders, some 2nd rounders, maybe throw Teddy in there if we can and maybe get a 3rd or 4th round pick in future drafts.
