  1. I mean there are some guys out there with NFL experience on practice squads: Robbie Chosen, Chosen Anderson (maybe they are the same guy) to name a few..... /s This is the dude:
  2. We don't have the WRs that can take the top off of a defense with Chark out, and to be totally honest I don't know how much of a difference he makes. This team is already banged up with Chark, Thielen, and Sanders not at full speed. We have 1 tight end who is actually competent in both phases of the run/pass game. As for our D - we are going to get gashed by teams who can run the ball and lit up by teams who can throw it. Atlanta is not a good team and we'll face much better down the line.
  3. Could be hyperextended knee for Horn, it didn't look like it "collapsed" and twisted like an ACL.
  4. Sanders is coming back from injury. On that first series when the O-line was opening up holes he was doing fine. He will be good for us.
  5. @BigDog do you know what sarcasm is?? Usually denoted by "/s" on the interwebs.
  6. Ok, we gotta trade Burns because he is too expensive. Luvu sucks....never been that good and for the love of God get Matt Corral back and start him. /s
  7. That last pass to Toney was behind him....should an NFL receiver make the catch, yes. Do they always make those...no. I don't put that on Toney, but he didn't have a good game overall.
  8. Can't wait to see the gang back together.
  9. Today's players don't mind losing a paycheck for a couple of weeks. They don't want to go out there and get injured which will lower their value. Sitting out increases the pressure on the FO and ownership, especially if the defense doesn't perform well. As everyone has alluded to, turning down that Rams trade gave Burns all the leverage. I don't believe he'll play, it's too risky for him. He wants that new contract and the guaranteed $$ that comes with it.
  10. Yeah we need to trade Corral and maybe squeeze a 2nd rounder out of him. /s
  11. Perlini never became what Arizona or the scouts thought he would be. Another bigger forward who didn't get to the dirty areas to clean up the loose change. Best season was in 17-18 where he had 30 pts. (17g, 13a). Also, played more games that season than any other. Eh, guess it's fine to see what he can do. Conacher is 5'8" and hasn't played in the NHL since 19-20. I would say he's a much longer shot.
  12. With regards to our TEs, Tremble and Thomas are both primarily best at blocking. Yeah, you can go jumbo at the goal line and probably slip one of the two into the end zone for a couple of TD passes, but more or less they pose no great threat receiving. Hurst is really the only TE that defenses will really concern themselves with in passing situations. Thomas isn't getting cut/waived due to that stupid contract. Tremble is TE3 at this point - just my opinion.
  13. Yes and Takkito means "little taco" so I can see where they are very similar.
  14. You know I don't know if anyone else has brought it up, but about 6 or 7 years ago we had the chance to keep a promising young rookie kicker who went on to win multiple Super Bowls. /s
  15. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hamilcar picked up off waivers. He is a solid player who could make a good backup on a LBer needy team.
  16. Agreed, completely! I have had that thought many, many times. I still don't know how Thomas got that contract. We seriously overpaid for the 3 or 4 surprise catches he will make for us per year.
  17. The board has to realize we do not have the optimal defensive roster for the 3-4. YGM is better suited for the 4-3 and that's not going to change probably ever. I see him as a decent backup here, but he may have better success with another team. He seems like a good guy and teammate so I wish him luck no matter where he plays.
  18. Some talk of Arnold being brought back for TE depth...he can't block worth a flip. I would rather have Ricci. Also, Henderson is better than Taylor.
  19. Hmmmm......wonder why the team didn't look good? New coach and staff Change to 3-4 defense without having players needed at key positions New QB with new receivers OL wasn't all the starters together, playing against a very good defensive line for the 2nd year under Saleh Matt Corrall isn't very good I have seen some people say the projected 1st team offense and defense need to play at least an entire half. I really agree with this, injuries are going to happen but this team in particular needs the reps playing together.
  20. Will always be a fan of DJ (not when he plays against us), but we needed Bryce Young. You have to give to get.
  21. GMDW knows where Pesce's camp stands. I think he's talked to Skjei and his agent as well. Really haven't heard much about this, but since Skjei was already making more than Pesce I would guess he's looking for a nice raise and term too. At the end of the day after this move I think Pesce gets moved along with Coghlan and maybe a draft pick/prospect for maybe Nylander or Lindholm? I'd hate to make Toronto's D stronger, but Nylander can score. My preference would be Lindholm for two reasons: RBA and him know each other and it sends Pesce West.
