  1. Needed to happen. CMC deserved better than to be here. As a RB, realistically he's in the twilight of his career, and he deserves a title shot rather than spending the next 2-3 years on a rebuilding team, serving as a crutch for the interim coach and new head coach while he installs his offense. We need money, and picks. This gets us both. CMC was our Cadillac in front of our trailer home. He's an asset we couldn't afford, and didn't need when we has such fundamentally larger issues we needed to resolve. He had our shot with him on the team, but those days are past. Wish him the best, and I hope the assets we got for him are the building blocks of our future.
  2. I'd love to see Ickey evolve into that enforcer role on the field. Don't see anyone else who's got that nasty streak. But you need those guys to keep the other team honest. I don't think you'd see Rapp going helmet first on CMC, or CMC getting suplexed with a pit bull like 89 on the field.
  3. DJ still managed to get 1000+ yards with Sam. For all his many faults, he can make downfield passes, which is something Batted Mayfield and PJ can't say.
  4. I hope so too. But considering the very public meltdown yesterday, we weren't in a great bargaining position. Now we'll see how good Fitt really is.
  5. Good. However much we got, it was a steal.
  6. Amazing how you can cause a concussion with helmet to helmet contact, but not rough the passer. Simply amazing.
  7. Still want to trade Donte for a 7th round? Lol. You chuckleheads
  8. Oh, well damn. Why people bringing up old poo?
  9. I mean, negativity aside, that's not even the right number of games in a season. Piss on someone else's cornflakes.
  10. I only question the pick because Parsons was still on the board. He's outstanding, but a shutdown corner is a nice-to-have on a competitive team. Parsons could have been the centerpiece to build a defense around.
  11. Honestly, the first game starting a backup QB can be a total crapshoot. Opposing teams don't have much film, so there's less to exploit than a multi-season starter. Kyle Allen comes to mind. Hell, Cooper Rush is 5-0 as a starter. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we come out and win this one...before the losing streak starts. *** Edit: I'll add, I'd also love to see us win this week, just to make Rhule look especially bad.
  12. Oh, man, I was really hoping the answer was going to be
  13. If their greatness was due to their physicality. Luke was the smartest guy on the field, and that's including both coaching staffs. He did more homework than an organic chemistry major. And he was able to recognize and counter what other teams were doing in real time. And more importantly he was able to explain how he saw what he saw, and why he did what he did. Individual contributors don't make good coaches, but he was already coaching when he was playing. He's be a natural coach if he wanted to be.
  14. Amazing how some people are able to get this out the press conference, while others are still stuck on, "That rich bastard didn't say anything then got mad and stormed off!"
