As much as I would love to trade down a franchise LT at 6 is the best possible scenario for us. Even a trade down for multiple 2nd day picks would not immediately improve our team as much as a stud LT

ESPN's Rich Cimini reports Jets LT Mekhi Becton weighed 400 pounds at one point last season. Becton, the 11th overall pick in 2020, started 13 games as a rookie but then battled conditioning issues last summer before spraining his MCL in Week 1 only to never play again. It was believed to be a 4-6 weeks injury, not a season-ender, but Becton let himself go during rehab. There's tension between Becton's camp and the Jets. Cimini wouldn't completely write off a trade, especially if New York takes a tackle with one of its two top-10 picks Thursday night.
