This fan base has no idea how to judge a good linebacker. This franchise has been SPOILED with great linebackers. Shaq is a very good linebacker. A great teammate, and a great leader. Unfortunately for him, he came on when we had Luke and Thomas Davis. He's not HOF'r but he absolutely has been a damn good linebacker for this team and is more than worth the spot where he was drafted.

Panthers will keep Jonathon Brooks on NFI list

Don't think it would take a lot to retain Hubbard. -

Where he was drafted doesn't concern me. You don't get talented players by sitting back and hoping they'll fall in the draft. There is truly no reason to rush him. Would prefer him to be fresh and strong for the 2nd half of the season anyways. -
I don't like sounding like I'm calling out the knowledge of other huddles and fans. Just from what I know of Dave Canales, and the offenses he's been a part of. What we've seen in preseason. To the 1 single drive that Young made the other day, it was obvious to knowledgeable eyes and minds that the Panthers offense was forcing the defense to cover every inch of the field. Yet we get people on here saying otherwise. At some point you should open your eyes.

There will be openings.

And if he doesn't because the deep is being covered, what then? What if he doesn't throw a pass more than 20 25 yards all game, and we win? Will it still be, "but he's not forcing the ball down field" I know what is broke, and it's not Bryce.

Most defenses typically play to prevent the deep pass. Yes, I understand that last year they stopped doing so against bryce. Number one job of the QB is to execute the plays and make positive yards to stay ahead of the sticks. There is zero reason to push the ball deep when it's being better protected. Let defenses cheat up, then exploit the deep ball.

Yet still scored a touch down.

He was a college TE. The Panthers never saw him as a TE.

Cause the Panthers are cursed to be a rushing team? Shrugs

The WR position - what 6 do we keep
pantherclaw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Adam T. was the focus of every defense we played last year. It's pretty straight forward why his YAC was so low. That should change this season if he isn't our first option in the passing game. TMJ is gone. He holds no ST value, and he's not good enough to unsent the top 3 guys. -
LOL

He'll start seeing the field when he's healthy, and it'll be up to him and Bryce to carve out a piece of the offense for him.
-
I don't see how he gets cut at all.

Jaycee Horn’s future with the Panthers

Nothing in his injury history suggests he's a ticking time bomb. -

In the NFL how can you trust ANYONE that they'll be healthy? -
It's pre-season. So I just don't give a damn. I've spent way too many years since the CBA, believing the the oline will come together in time for regular season. The fact of the matter that they never had enough playing time back when there was 2 a days practices mostly in pads, and all 4 preseason games. I refuse to believe that any new oline (for the record that is an oline with 2 or more new starters...practically every year) will EVER come together during preseason. There wasn't enough time for it 20 years ago. There is certainly not enough time today. ANYONE whom believes otherwise is flat out lying to themselves. That happens to be a common practice here on the huddle.

Adam Theilen could still end up with over 1000 yards, with fewer catches as a by product of not being the #1 target
