  1. There is no way I would ever think about taking the 6'4" 244 lb, Florida QB, Anthony Richardson at # 1 or #2 but if the Panthers had stayed put at #9, I would have been comfortable with taking him there.
  2. If one takes time to do some filtering out, there is a ton of good information shared here on the Huddle.
  3. I thought from the get go the Panthers would select Bryce Young # 1 and then it seemed to swing to C.J. Stroud, who I liked, now most seem to think it is pointed back to Young. This has been almost enough to make ones head spin.
  4. These test can only prove or evaluate so much, it is still how the player performs under actual game conditions that counts.
  5. Since I am a Stroud fan, even though I also like Young a lot, I would take that trade if I were the Panthers in a heart beat and never once look back.
  6. https://www.houstontexans.com/news/young-the-choice-for-texans-at-2-overall-mock-draft-roundup-5-0 Young the choice for Texans at 2 overall? | Mock Draft Roundup, 5.0 Apr 03, 2023 at 12:22 PM Bryce Young is still the most-mocked player to the Texans at second overall in this year's NFL Draft. With 24 days until the Draft begins in Kansas City, the latest round of mock drafts still have the 2021 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback headed to Houston. The Alabama quarterback was mocked to Houston on 34 of the 45 (75.6%) more prominent mock drafts surveyed by HoustonTexans.com. Two weeks ago, Young was also the choice at two overall. We will release the Mock Draft Roundup for the 12th overall pick tomorrow. The Texans have 12 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, and 10 more in 2024. Young appeared in 34 games for the Crimson Tide the last three seasons and threw 80 touchdowns to just 12 interceptions in that span. Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud was projected as the Texans' second overall pick in 10 (22.2%) different mock drafts. Stroud played in 26 games the past three seasons, tossing 85 touchdowns and 12 picks.
  7. The Texans really want Bryce Young. Since I like C.J. Stroud, it would be a win for me if they swapped picks with the Panthers to obtain Young at #1 , leaving the Panthers to select Stroud at #2 plus an added draft selection or two.
  8. I like the way you are thinking outside the box here. LOL
  9. I could be wrong but I felt the Panthers earlier plan was to take at # 1 Bryce Young but as the scouting and evaluation process proceeded they began to like C.J. Stroud a little more than Young.
  10. I am sick of seeing his Peyton Manning's ugly face on most all the NFL game commercials. I say a little of Peyton Manning goes a long way.
  11. Since I have no choice, I will agree with and support the Panthers choice 100%, even though I would like them to select C.J. Stroud.
  12. Not sure I can agree that Bryce Young will be the Panthers choice. C.J. Stroud has more size and arm strength than Young but obviously he's not a good an athlete as Young but is more of a prototypical pocket passer. While not an easy decision, the choice is either the athlete or the arm. and I cannot help but feel the Panthers will go with Stroud and his superior arm.
  13. I really liked Steve Smiths skills and admired him as a WR but I am not sure I would have liked being his teammate as a fellow WR.
  14. Yes, it certainly does not look real good at the present time.
  15. In DT John Penisini defense he did try playing injured, until the pain playing became unbearable. Penisini has the size and a young age, now the Panthers will have to wait and see how he plays being injury free.
  16. We cannot keep losing players and not adding any!!!
