  1. Mission accomplished, now time to get back to a P5 school tens of millions of dollars richer and take it easy
  2. Everything I've ever read about Japanese work culture said that it's fuging brutal.
  3. Rhule's ability to evaluate the roster and start the best 11 is a 0 on a scale of 10 until proven otherwise. I know Rivera drove us all nuts doing stuff like leaving Norwell on the bench and singlehandedly prolonging Amini Silatolu's NFL career a good five or six years more than it should have lasted, but this stuff with Brady Christensen is next level. His Temple fixation goes without saying. Ron had "his guys" but at least he wasn't bizarrely fixated on only playing dudes from Cal or something.
  4. Damn it's really been that long hasn't it? That's crazy.
  5. lol Brentson Buckner said something similar once in 2004 I think. That people who were criticizing the team were a bunch of nerds or something.
  6. He'd be a beast at some AAC or Sun Belt school. I'm talking going undefeated and having people lobbying for a national title for the memes like UCF a few years back.
  7. I bet if he played at Temple or Baylor he'd be fuging starting at tackle
  8. Why would anyone care, the team sucks and is painful to watch. Even in years when the Panthers have been competitive the home atmosphere hasn't been particularly intimidating for visitors. The exception might be something like 2015 when we were just tearing the league a new ass and had a charismatic superstar at the most important position. Like turn on your TV and look at the Bucs game. That place is packed because the team is good, they just won a Lombardi, and they have the GOAT at QB. This time two years ago you couldn't give away a fuging ticket to see the Bucs.
  9. I saw Jimmy Pickles' first and only (so far, never stop believing) career victory in person that year. It's a cherished memory of mine.
  10. That guy went on Dr. Phil dressed as Dr. Phil, then they "kicked him off the show" in the most scripted way I've ever seen
  11. I think he was legitimately admitted to the hospital with heart issues when he was at Florida, but yeah if there wasn't some poo going down there and at a notorious party school like OSU I'd be surprised. Dude probably just wanted one last payday before he cashed out and spent his golden years on a yacht stocked with booze and TikTok/gram famous "guests". Sucks for his players on the Jaguars that are trying to make a career in such a black hole.
  12. The blue checkmarks are confirming it now. RIP, he was only 33.
  13. Urban Meyer: "What do you mean we can't just recruit athletes that are better than what everybody else has"
  14. Meyer is partying with coeds and doesn't seem to really give a poo while it seems like Rhule is actually sort of trying. That might actually be even worse.
  15. Side bar but Beason was a 3x Pro Bowler and 1st and 2nd team All Pro playing mostly Mike for the Panthers. I remember they briefly moved him to WLB in 2010 because of Thomas Davis being injured and tried it again in 2013 with the emergence of Kuechly as a dominant MLB. It was basically between him and Patrick Willis (even though Willis played in a different defense) for a few years.
  16. Rhule and Brady would be trying to pass on this Steelers team that's letting Dalvin Cook run for 13 yards every time he touches the ball.
  17. Oh dang, so the last time the Saints lost five in a row was in the mid 2000s? Try to keep up Aints, Carolina did that last year
  18. That was infamous dipshit and moron Jed York's doing. Harbaugh is a jerkoff but he would have us winning and probably quickly. Who knows, a second stint in the NFL might be better than the first. Buuuut yeah he's not leaving Michigan to come here of all franchises.
  19. There were Panther reps in the tunnel after his final game at Stanford and he just ran past us lol
  20. The one who excited me the most was James Goodnight although he was a huge darkhorse. You want to talk about data driven approaches and analytics? How about a literal statistician?
  21. The Panthers were basically as unwatchable at the end of Rivera's tenure here as they are now. His time in Charlotte had run its course, we had some good times, some bad ones, and it was time to move on. If you're a head coach in the NFL you're going to be the one blamed if poo isn't going well. It can be unfair but at any given time there are only 32 of them on a planet of 7.7 billion humans. For some perspective though, John Fox went to Denver and they immediately were tearing the league's ass up. They won 11 straight games in his second season and made a(n admittedly lol worthy) Super Bowl appearance the next year.
  22. Reminds me of when I'd read the Falcons board like 15 years ago and they were having heated debates about DJ Shockley.
