We will see I just see a ton of value in him. He is a key piece that could make this defense special. I admittedly thought DJ Moore was good but a borderline #1. Better as a #2. He avoids contact, drops balls etc. This is what my eyes observed with him. He is good…above average but won’t be upper level.

Entirely possible but they would be wrong. Burns was probably laughed off and Brown is an ascending star at DT. You don’t miss a player like him until he isn’t there anymore

Derrick Brown is seriously one of the most important players on this team. Unless you include Burns in the discussion. Correct move was made.

One thing that bugs me on going with Young over Stroud is upside. I really don’t think we have seen the best from Stroud and he can get stronger and refine his game a lot. It’s a difficult call without question

Stroud gets talked about in terms of mobility and running but his lack of scrambling ability is overblown. He is very accurate on the move as a passer. He is very accurate period. Extremely impressed with his pinpoint passing from the pocket. Probably has a slightly better arm than Young. I personally think Young is a better processor. Bryce is special there IMO. Young is just better at the position at pocket awareness and playmaking ability IMO. Young is a magician in that regard but Stroud is very solid as well.

If you believe Stroud is the better player I am completely fine with that. On certain days I feel the same. It’s a great problem to have picking at #1. We all pine for our guy. Good stuff. I have liked Young for a while now but I haven’t down played Stroud very much. I do think he played from a clean pocket a lot and had incredible receiving options but he did deliver. He is a top level prospect and I won’t deny that.

Appreciate all the mocks @pantherj it is obviously a passion of yours and I used to be the same way. Watching tape of lesser known gems is great stuff and it makes the actual draft, for me anyway, the most fun of any sports event there is. I always take days off around the draft since like the 80s. It’s awesome so more power to you

Everyone knows this…it doesn’t discount what he did for me. It isn’t impossible for a small QB to be great given the chance. He also played a long time.

I hope Young makes it big whether it’s here or not. Opens the door for the little guy for years to come. Nothing wrong with that. I have wondered before what Flutie would have done if a team stuck with him in the NFL. He had an incredible football career regardless. Young is way better IMO though

She has nailed a few targets before that weren’t even first rounders for us. That’s more difficult. But agree, she is smart enough to sift through the Debbie Downers on this board.
