Problem for Tabor, is he is making adjustments which take time….and his next opponent is a top team against the run. So, it’s going to be ugly. But I think gets better after this weekend.
-
I mean look at the last “good” QB class. 5 in the top 15. Only one that looks to pan out was the textbook lab built guy in Trevor. Franchises are already done with 3 of them. Fields could be the next and make 4 of the 5 done. Trevor Lance Wilson Fields Jones

He said it in that podcast in the OP 89 is an asshole. I think he just agrees with the firings and likely would behave similar to Tepper. Only 89 wouldn’t have been all “out of respect to Rock Hill, I can’t comment on it”., like Tepper was today. 89 would have blasted Frank out the door. 89 just doesn’t come across as the sympathetic type to NFL coaches.
-
Just got to hope for the blind squirrel method to eventually happen. At some point, he is going to accidentally hire someone competent lol
-
Well, 89 referenced that narrative. So he is at least aware tha people view it that way. Given the 89’s style and wealth (and present earnings) I doubt a little check from Tepper has turned him into his lapdog I think it’s possible 89 doesn’t trash Tepper because he probably would behave similar lol and just agrees with that style of management.
-
Well, all signs point to Fitter being completely incompetent and pointless. I do think Tepper listens to his people. He just hires bad people and then Tepper, rightfully, can’t handle the results.
-
Yeah, I think if Tepper actually hired a good HC….it would be much easier to stay uninvolved. I really hope he fires Fitt, hires a firm to go get him a HC/GM pairing for the 2024 version of the NFL with a vision and stays out of it for a couple years.

And they keep circling back to just how trash Frank was. So much tied to his poo and predictable O. They essentially say everyone sees it that knows football. Referenced when it was called out in the 3rd quarter last week during the game. It has a lot to do with the OL getting destroyed. Frank sets it up for implosion. I

Wolfe claims when Thomas Brown called plays Frank dictated what he could and couldn’t call. *once again the steady reminder what Panther folks say in front of a microphone is often BS, PR and lies. I know that is unsettling to a small few that go down quoting it as the unquestioned truth when uttered.

Wolfe makes a decent point about how it has taken a lot of owners a long time to “get it”. People forget that. 49ers fired 3 coaches in 24 months before Kyle Shannahan. But they are used as an example of an org that “gets it” and people act like that wasn’t part of the path.

Well they all seem to be in agreement and quoting defensive coordinators that Frank Reich has been painfully predictable and the entire league knows what we are doing. And unless you have a roster of all pros you will simply lose in the NFL if that is what you are.
-
Probably truth to that. I don’t think Frank got what he wanted and was immediately unhappy. And Frank himself said he was ready to completely walk away from football all together…..and if Frank is ready to walk away entirely then some of that was already there. Frank never seemed like he wanted to be here. and there are also rumors that Frank was the guy whispering about the QB spot and who wanted what. Was going to his NFL guys and saying what he wanted and how it could have been different. Which is what forced the in season firing. Which would align sort of with Tepper hinting each firing was unique

Everyone in the building is all in on Bryce
CRA replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are not going to stand at a podium and tell people the truth. I have been preaching that for some time. What they say publicly is never worth more than a grain of salt. And we still have some posters that triple down on words that come out of BOA. -
Out of respect to Rock Hill….I’m not going to comment on that. I mean, that 10 minute presser of not addressing anything and cherry picked reporters was about as predictable as the Panthers are on Sunday
-
I have a feeling it’s just going to be a lot of…. ”out of respect of Rock Hill” I’m not going to comment on that style presser.

Burns is our 3rd best defender in reality. Missing Luvu for a stretch is a bigger blow than Burns.

A percentage of it is coaching incompetence. We aren’t playing to the roster. Weak teams have to do that. This OL can get in a grove and run block. That was Wilks secret sauce. We have that talent. Chubba and Sanders are both more traditional early down runners. And once you line up and start pounding the rock…..pass protection is aided off play action. Saw that last year too. And 100% our bad WRs weren’t being helped under Frank. Frank has always been too gun/pass heavy. Always predictable in it. Never creative. He is the John Fox of the O passing world I think Tabor course corrects some basic stubborn Frank flaws.
-
We are about to witness a repeat of last year (just to a lesser extent). I always thought it was a coin flip in regards to who would take over for Rhule. Wilks got the call and proceeded to have this team looking better. I think we see the same thing occur with Tabor. Tabor is going to win more games than Frank. But not a Wilks .500 record. but just like Wilks. This first game is going to be ugly and rough. Talk was Wilks was intentionally trying to lose it was so bad. we got lots of problems. Tepper is problem 1. Fitt is problem 2. Frank was problem 3. and it’s going to start to become apparent how bad Frank really was. Tabor winning at least 2 and the Panthers find a respectable path down the stretch

and also Lawrence’s starting WR is depth here. Bryce has better skill talent vs a rookie Lawrence as crazy as that sounds.
-
I mean if you followed Lawrence, his NFL debut felt a lot like his college start. And while he went undefeated and won a natty….it was full of risky and dumb throws early on as he figured it out. Lawerence is lab built physically, but not mentally. He has always had some don’t throw that Trevor to him.
-
Jags were 1-16 the year before though. They were essentially void of all talent on O outside of their new QB. I just don’t see them as similar to us/this. There was no all star staff talk, no making the playoff talk, etc. going in either. Narratives were just different (but I would concede the offensive realities weren’t that drastically different overall). And while Lawerence might not of met the hype as a one man operation as a rookie….he was still a lab built QB for the NFL. I don’t think the overall feel was comparable to what some here at feeling about Bryce. Lawerence opened his career throwing for 300+ and wasn’t 31st in yards per game like Bryce. Also, in terms of narratives, the QBs behind Trevor in Lance, Wilson and Fields weren’t making him look bad/look like the wrong pick. Urban however was being a one man shitshow
-
Understandable. And per Frank he is ready to say good bye to the NFL for good. I still think is a red flag for how much a fired HC was really ever ready to go through it all again to begin with . There has been zero energy to this team since he was hired.
-
If it was an open secret Frank didn’t really want to be there (which was reported today)…..then you sort of have to let him go, right? I mean if Frank is ready to walk away from the NFL game for good today…you sort of have to question how much was ever really into it coming in. Plenty of good places to go collect a check from if you just like the game and work. I think we are in the window where Trpper who deserves a lot of blame, tons of it…..will start to get some that belongs elsewhere or should be shared.

I think Fitt and Tepper sell each other on bad ideas.
