  1. deep down we all know a lot of things. everyone knew when Bryce said he intentionally had nothing to do with football all offseason, hung out alone and watched TV.......that was a bad sign. Some defended it. But they knew. I mean, I'll argue their is a place in college for Dabo. But I know there really isn't. That way is dead.
  2. PJ Walker is better than Bryce Young. 100%. Now, I guess one could argue Bryce technically could get better. But that's hope.
  3. I mean, he literally gets blinded in the pocket. You could see that Sunday. He can't see on way too many plays. So auto goes into survival mode and that is bad mechanics and breaking the pocket. Bigger QB could see and deliver balls he can't.
  4. that's probably true. I can tell me son all sorts of things to do on a ballfield. My body won't do them though.
  5. I still don't get how your really bad rookie QB who is now going into his 2nd or 3rd O....didn't need crazy work in the preseason. They treated Bryce Young like he was an old Peyton Manning. Everyone needed work. Everyone was new. First time HC, first time OC, OL playing by folks for the first time, young skill folks. It's all so predictable.
  6. I mean, NFL players have been on record for years and years and years.....that a huge portion of the league are just check cashers. Little else. Many just granted a physical gift from god to be good at sports. So they play sports part of the year to be some of the highest income earners in America.
  7. again, we should be trying to build a real roster. I'm not saying there was a body you could insert week 2 if he sucked and won. We should be developing other young talent. Building depth and players. It's not just about Bryce and being all in or else moving on. we got more folks we need to develop. We got Mingo, XL, Saunders, etc. We need a young live arm to really do that. Bryce not being functional keeps the rest of the roster from developing or knowing what we got there too. So everything gets slowed. That's how you stay behind.
  8. he already told us. He got away from all football related stuff, he hung out alone, he watched a lot of TV. but he "exercised". So people defended the obvious nightmare that was coming. That's not a normal answer for a really bad QB coming off the year he did. Dude should of been consumed with the game.
  9. the NFL is full of bodies. We brought no one in. We should of drafted a body late, signed a young body off a practice squad, did something. It's not about finding a franchise QB. It's about finding some competent QB play. Depth. A real roster. I wouldn't call it competition. Default him as the guy. Still no reason not to build a real roster. And given how horrific Bryce was last year....it's just malpractice to only have him.
  10. yes, the great vet mentor Andy Dalton. Who did such a great job with Justin Fields we just had to bring him in here. The fact Dan Morgan didn't bring alternatives for if things went south (which was fairly easy to see).....speaks volumes of why only Carolina even thought of him.
  11. Imma about to start a bring back PJ Walker thread. He is better than Bryce Young. And PJ is a bum by NFL standards. At least PJ makes the game entertaining.
  12. first start of 2023 vs first start of 2024 2024 was worse. and that wasn't exactly easy to pull off
  13. the Keary Colbert of QBs (minus the okay rookie season). Colbert used to giggle when he would drop balls.
  14. I mean, Canales was okay for 1 year in Tampa. That's the meat of his resume.
  15. Evero was blocked from interviewing. Some tried. Tepper said no. Which I disagree with. If you are trying to build something out of the gutter we have been in....forcing coaches to stay and continue to be part of things probably isn't the best big picture philosophy
  16. I mean, Ron Rivera is basically Vince Lombardi compared to the Tepper era folks. Not really the time or place for Ron bashing given what Rhule, Frank and now Dave have done.
  17. September 8, 2024. The day Bryce Young was finished as a NFL QB. I mean, it technically won't happen yet. But when you look back, that will be the date when the answer became crystal clear. Every game from here on out is a waste of time. We all know the answer. Everyone here knows it. And frankly, everyone at BOA knows.
  18. The buck doesn’t stop with the 2nd in command but he was part of building the mess we are in today. For whatever reason people painted him as someone quietly raging against all those bad moves. That’s the Fitterer logic that allowed him to stay too long. and Jim, Morgan and all these folks part of building this mess….remained all in on Bryce. You don’t do that if you thought it was wrong and see this team for what it is
  19. Morgan didn’t inherit a train wreck….he was 2nd in command building it. the Morgan logic is just the same repeat error logic we always apply. It’s what Fitterer didn’t get fired with Rhule. Morgan shouldn’t be here. don’t forget, Jim Caldwell somehow got to help hire him. The clowns currently in Carolina all went into the season with ONLY Bryce Young as the QB talent. That tells you all you need to know
