  1. Yikes is the nicest thing I can say to that. We need new blood from new coaching tree options. Not Quinn or Wilks level staffs.
  2. I liked Corral but he had health issues and he was IRed here before the year could even start. I hope he can contribute but that basket should not get all of the eggs. We will be drafting a QB from this class. If they bust then Corral can step up or we can draft another one in 2024. That is priority #1 for the roster moving forward. People are trying to make this class look like the last one and even I can see that is BS. Probably going to need a strong offensive crew outside of Stroud for support and coaching so all the talk about potential defensive HCs gives me a headache.
  3. Still a hard fug no. I don't really want Moore but if you are going that rout just hire him as the HC. Quinn will still be around to be a DC.
  4. Career wise? No he had some success in the NFL vs Rhule. Darnold's career is a lot more similar to Rhule. Personality wise? One is a dink and the other is a shyster. So still no.
  5. He is but still that is a ballsy leap to take. They have to be looking at using those extra picks to find a long term answer. Might be some high picks also. Great ammo to go get your guy in 2023.
  6. And they were bought by a Walmart heir? Fitting. I am surprised by Hackett's work there so far. I knew Seattle wasn't going to be great this year, no idea what that plan really is still, but watching Wilson look like a different person was not expected for me. I just think it is a really bad idea to take a 1st year GM or HC and do that kind of a trade. Daboll is doing it the hard and right way IMO.
  7. I thought there was one in Miami but I wasn't paying enough attention. Huh so a mixed bag. Not looking great up in Denver for those 2. Minni and NYG killing it while Chi is at best a too soon. Like half a chance to work either way on that sample size.
  8. Did the combos in Denver and Miami have prior close connections? Retaining a GM to get a specific coach would be the same difference.
  9. I would need to see it to believe it. Punching the Rams in the nose with no film of PJ or any of the changes could be enough for a win this week. I need to see more than that to get on that hype train. I remember Wilks as a DC and a HC. Just being better than Rhule isn't that same as being good and he really wasn't good beyond a position coach. We celebrated when he left to become HC because he wouldn't be our DC anymore. I need to see what has changed because if it hasn't then we are in for more competent loses the rest of the year. I'm incredibly skeptical McAdoo was much more than what we have seen this year (again a slight bump but not enough).
  10. fingers crossed Those two can chew up Tepper and spit him out without any real effort.
  11. That is more of the same before Rhule. I think the only option worse(so far) than that is Payton for way different reasons.
  12. Well that would require him to open his mouth and we all know how fast that goes down hill.
  13. If they are that good of an OC then they won't be around long. In this NFL I would rather be an offensive based coach needing a DC then a deffensive coach constantly searching for a half decent OC. Seemed a lot different 20 years ago.
  14. All true but all those guys ran really good offenses. Levy came up with the no-huddle? Crazy for a guy who played DB. All that sounds like the exceptionals and the standards. I just can't see Quinn as more than a DC, Dallas would be smart to keep him but then again DCs are a lot easier to find now than a good OC. Trends change. I wonder how McD will do when he loses another OC? Ron had trouble losing DCs in back to back years. (not trying to knock McD but it is a huge challenge and they looked a lot better under their last OC superstar)
  15. You wrote up a detailed and thorough list that I hope never comes close to being brought here. Stuff of nightmares.
  16. I am 100% against it. Wrong direction with a predictable outcome. He is a DC and nothing more. He is really good but still just a DC. I'm tired of wanting to emulate the fugging Seahawks glory days. There are better trees out there and I hate being tied to that one at this point.
  17. Just like with players, when there is massive failure a change of scenery can be good for both sides. Fritterer in prove it mode leaves me with giant doubts given what he has done and been a part of here. He does have the rest of the season to prove why he should be brought back. The Quinn stuff is a dealkiller and I will absolutely hope against that ever happening.
  18. Ward sounds like the kind of guy not picked 1st but end up the best QB in that draft type guy. Good to hear there is at least one in this draft.
  19. It was why he was hired and what made him qualified to be a GM on a leash. Could he be more? Maybe but that is a big maybe because he has operated inside of the cuck GM role for years and doing a real GM job would be new, different and unknown. And his connections are not great from what has been presented.
  20. If Tepper starts calling the field to dictate plays then we need to start working on a good frame job. That is a big step in the wrong direction.
  21. I think so too but I am more worried about this crew and the contracts they have done recently than Burns himself. Just a convenient excuse to hold off until the offseason.
