Not going to happen. Pro sports is cyclical. Team suck for a while and are good for a while. Being a KC or NE (past 20 years) is mostly luck anyway. No one is going to tie their financial future to lucky or unlucky draft picks. Besides, even the good teams everyone watches need the bad teams to fill out a schedule. Also, the players union would never agree to that since a non-even split would impact the salary cap. They don’t want some teams having $150 mill to spend while others have $250. Spreading the love evenly is in the best interests of all players.

It’s in players best interest to get that big first contract. JC would be an idiot to sabotage that.

Walkability is great for places with high population density, but that’s never been the south. What makes living down here nice (traditionally anyway) has been the low pop density (big single family housing plots, etc). Thats why the suburbs exist. A lot of people don’t want to live in an apartment/condo.

The ‘trade our best players for a quick fix’ approach isn’t working. The way to actually fix this roster is to retain our best players, get a coach and GM that can draft well, and do exactly that for 3-4 years. We need starters, but we need depth more. Slow and steady wins the race.

We are not one piece away. We need starters and depth at every position.

We don’t need picks. We need good players. He is a good player. Remember, we essentially traded CMC for Mingo, DJ Johnson, and Zavala. Picks are great until they turn into players.

If he can’t receive a bigger role in this terrible WR room, he’s not going to get one anywhere.

DJ was clearly a coaches pick looking at the draft room vids. That doesn’t excuse Fitt though. That was an obvious bust from day one.

They can do that if they want, but math tells us that giving away 5% to every 1st round pick means teams will eventually run out of shares to give away.
