I don't trust Fitterer as far as I could throw him. I just hope someone is left in the building that can scout.
-
Yeah, it's crazy how it works right? With or without.

Just remember, running backs are largely replaceable. The year we drafted him is a stellar example. 41st - Dalvin Cook (Minnesota) 48th - Joe Mixon (Cincinatti) 67th - Alvin Kamara (New Orleans) 86th - Kareen Hunt (Kansas City) 105th - James Conner (Pittsburgh) 119th - Tarik Cohen (Chicago) 182nd - Aaron Jones (Green Bay) And Austin Ekeler (Chargers) went undrafted. Also, I would like to add, that this next year is projected to be one of the deepest running back classes since 2017. As long as the Panthers can still scout, we're going to be fine.

This is what we had to look forward to with Christian: 5 Wins 5 Wins 5 Wins And some records broken when he makes it a full season with the team force feeding him the rock.

All of those players were around for the Super Bowl(s), or post even. They were all a part of the best seasons the Panthers have had. All but one was high character players that gave us an identity, and a chance to win any given Sunday. I didn't even mention Williams, Stewart, Beason, Kalil. We had an embarrassment of talent once upon a time.

Listen, we have to do what we have to do to beat the Texans to first overall.

Burns is probably going to be traded right?
Krovvy replied to firefox1234's topic in Carolina Panthers
They're not going to trade Burns or Moore unless the unthinkable happens and the team finishes outside the top five picks or so. If that's the case and they think they can leapfrog a team for a quarterback they covet, then you I could see them moving either player. Unlikely scenario, but it's one way it could happen. -
And Josh Norman, Chris Gamble, Charles Johnson, Greg Hardy — a few good players, yeah.

It's about what I had imagined the Panthers would get. As long as he stays healthy, he can be the piece that pushes a team over the top. However, I don't think a lot of our fans are thinking with their heads. Since we drafted Christian the team hasn't won. He's been amazing at what he does, but stats don't win football games. There are guys every year found late in the draft or even undrafted that can produce at the running back position, and it doesn't come with a premium contract.

We won the Olsen trade and the Kelvin trade.

Sounds like Scott Fitterer will continue as Panthers GM in '23
Krovvy replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Just read through the thread. Yeah, yeah this is similar to the Gettleman years, where the GM is somehow above reproach. However, Fitterer has a gambler mentality whereas Gettleman was entirely conservative in his approach. Going into the most important off-season in over a decade with a man that, at best, was a fool's puppet. -

Why do I get the feeling this is going to be similar with the Gettleman years? By that I mean half the fanbase will fawn over him, while completely ignoring blunders, or blame them on the coach. So far, he's not shown he can evaluate quarterbacks, has made some exceptionally poor trades, and has certainly been poor at cap management. We're the worst team in the league, and this is with the man trying to trade the house for cheap wins. Him egregiously going after Deshaun Watson this off-season should give every fan pause. The way he tried to hail Marry for Watson is enough for me not trust him. Do you really want a gambler? Because that's what the move for Watson was, betting the house on a man with entirely questionable moral character, that hasn't played the sport in what will be two years. I wouldn't trust him, and I don't see how the owner could as well, unless they're really two peas in a pod. -
The most important position in sports, is the most important. God damn people, no wonder we can't have poo in Carolina.

Just embrace it… take the L’s and let’s get the #1 pick

We have tough competition. The Texans decided their tank in the off-season, and have a brutal schedule compared to ours. -
REPORT: Burns practically a "lock" to be traded before the deadline
Krovvy replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
Go ahead. We need key players cut or traded every few years to inform the shallow minded fans how bad it can really get at a position group and how difficult it can be to mend. -
Tepper psyops agent.

Panther fans be like "we should wait until next year" — every year.
-
Yeah, but they didn't give him a seven year contract trapping them for years.

We all owe Teddy Bridgewater an apology
Krovvy replied to ENC Pantherfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Teddy played more for stats than wins. He wanted a completion more than a first down. -
A NFL team should not plan to tank for the highest draft pick

This is killing me.

It's tankin' time.

Maybe next off-season as a mentor. If we signed him now there's no way he wouldn't win a few.
