  1. To be fair, it wasn't that things weren't perfect, it was that Tua's brain got scrambled multiple times and then Teddy two gloves also got hurt so they were down to their third string QB at the end of the season. The fact they even made the playoffs is kind of impressive to begin with. And they put up a fight against Buffalo in Buffalo with the third string QB tells me they have a bright future ahead.
  2. **oh god, please, I hope I didn't say anything stupid** Acceptable levels of hopium. Eventually saw through the façade after he spouted the same buzzwords over and over again with no substance or results. I'll accept it.
  3. The logic behind running is a breath of fresh air after 12 years of "ThE mOsT wInNiNgEsT tEaMz RuN dA bAlL aT lEaSt 20 tImEs PeR gAmE" Completely ignoring the fact that if you're winning you kill the clock at the end of the game by running. Rivera and Rhule were so dumb about that crap it was infuriating.
  4. I liked how he went more in depth than that. Mentioned specifically good footwork and how that directly translates to good football. Also elabborated on the other 4 things as well. Less gimmicky salesman buzzwords and more substance behind his message.
  5. Dude gets it. You have to be able to run the ball EFFICIENTLY as well as pass. You don't have to be the highest rushing team, just be good at doing it when you choose to. The statement "We can run the ball already and we'll get the passing game right" was great. very decisive.
  6. Reich said the word "Brand" and I physically flinched. Wasn't in the same vein as Rhule, but the PTSD is real.
  7. Florida also has no income tax, so even if we offered him the exact same amount as Miami, he was still walking away with more money with them.
  8. If we are waiting on a guy from the Eagles staff, we won't get a for sure answer today.
  9. Honestly, props where they are due, he did do a good job with Foreman, Hubbard, and even Blackshear. Hubbard really grew this past season.
  10. As long as I hear: "With the ______ Pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select _______ , QB _________" I will be happy.
  11. You're such a wonderful human being for staying with your wife considering the circumstances of her fandom. A true testament that love conquers all.
  12. The fact that they are a Cowboy fan means you can ignore any opinion they have related to football due to the brain damage that they suffer.
  13. I agree to an extent, but the way of the bell cow back is going by the wayside. The only surefire lock to get into the HOF from the RB position from the past 15 years is Adrian Peterson. Frank Gore might not get in at first since his stats are all due to longevity (which in itself is amazing based on the position he played) but he was never the best back in the league at any point in his career. Behind those two you have Marshawn Lynch and Shady McCoy, neither of which are a lock to get in. WRs, on the other hand are experiencing a logjam to get into the HOF. Guys like Smitty and Andre Johnson would have been locks to get in if they were eligible 20 years ago, but the game has changed so much that guys like Tory Holt and Reggie Wayne are waiting to get in, with guys like Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, and Larry Fitzgerald not eligible yet, but in consideration once they are. It makes sense to pay WRs in this day and age because the position is at a premium and unless you have an S Tier QB in Mahomes or Rodgers, you need great Receivers. Whereas with a RB, you can get away with not having even great talent at the position.
  14. On average, RB stats start going down after the age of 26. There's no reason to keep a RB after his rookie deal is over.
  15. That's my point though? Why pay a RB a second contract when young guys on rookie deals produce for way cheaper.
  16. C. McCaffrey - 1880 Total Yards, 13 Total TDs, 4.7 yd/att, 8.7 yd/catch, $11.8 Million salary Travis Etienne - 1441 Total Yards, 5 Total TDs, 5.1 yd/att, 9.0 yd/catch, $1.8 Million Salary CMC had the better season yes, but Etienne had a good year for 1/6th the cost. Was CMC's season 6x better than Etienne's? I don't think it was. What is the more cost effective asset here? Of course CMC is elite. Everyone knows this. But you don't need an elite RB in today's NFL to get 85% of the same output for a fraction of the cost.
  17. I feel like Wilks could have been a great coach for us, but at a different time in the franchise. If Rivera had not been the coach right before the Rhule hire, I could see it happening. But going from Rivera to Rhule to Wilks just seems like ending up where we started, especially since Wilks would be pulling together a very similar staff to Rivera since their coaching carreers are so intertwined On top of that we are in desperate need of a Franchise QB and Reich is a great offensive mind/teacher, he lines up better in terms of team overall need. If we brought Wilks in with a QB already in place, I think it could have worked. Wilks seems like the right guy at the wrong time for us. Hopefully Reich is the right guy at the right time.
  18. I don't see how anyone can trust Zane to stay healthy.
  19. Dammit, this just reminded me how much I miss Cam. God he was fun.
  20. I would have no problem with adding him to our staff.
