  1. Interesting numbers, pretty funny that Bryce has a higher percentage of throws from inside the pocket than Stroud or Richardson, but people like to bill him as not being able to play in the pocket and reliant on scrambling.
  2. Lol that doesn't make sense. Even if somehow they were convinced or swayed to choose Bryce because Tepper wanted it, you think in 3 years if Bryce is a bust, that would save them? Not a chance. They are going to take who they think is the best QB prospect, because their jobs rely on getting this right.
  3. Yeah Ill love if the Falcons draft a RB in the top 10, its just a terrible long term investment. What elite (top 3-5) running back second contracts have actually worked out? I'd much rather them end up with the best RB in the draft than Jalen Carter.
  4. Lol, yeah I hate to say it but he's been unhinged for months now at this point. I remember him telling me that the Panthers wouldnt draft a QB high this year cause they drafted Corral last year..
  5. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but the last clip of the whole video was McCown saying "Ill see you when you come to Charlotte" or something along those lines to Levis. I dont think that is any accident, I think that is to show he said something similar to all the QBs, not just the clip with Stroud that went viral.
  6. I dont think so, I think you need to sell it as yeah, we prefer one (Bryce) but we are ok with taking either of them. If you sell it to hard that Bryce is the guy, then if the Texans call about a trade and you are open to it, it would signal to them that you are just trying to get assets. I agree though, I dont think its a ruse at all, I think they actually like both and are deciding which.
  7. Yeah, I get the concerns about injury, but it is a bit strange coming from a fan base that watched a 6-5 250lb QB who was built in a lab break down before age 30. Its mostly about usage, I don't care how big you are, you will not last long in this league taking hits all the time. If Bryce can be smart about the hits and process/get the ball out quicker, I think he will be fine. To add to this, the fact that hes not a burner like Kyler may actually help him long term. We saw it with Cam, when you have the running ability, and you have used it all of your life, its very hard to not use it. Also, some of the worst shots Cam ever took were from within the pocket when he didnt see it coming, Bryce has elite pocket awareness, hopefully he doesn't take some of the hits other QBs do.
  8. Lol yeah, Ive watched clips of that podcast and it almost feels like the co-host doesn't ever offer his opinion or bring anything to the discussion, it turns into Steve Smith talking the whole time.
  9. Lol yeah I realized after I submitted my grim mistake
  10. I think people are wildly overestimating how long AR would sit. I could see a scenario where he sits half the year or so until the BYE and then starts. You would build your offense around him similar to Josh Allen or Lamar, and play to his strengths. Sitting QBs years with how the transition has been smooth is non sense, the only reason the 49ers did it was because they were in a championship window. ARs rubbing ability gives him a floor to work at while he improves the rest of his game and tightens those fundamentals. That being said, I’m still in favor of taking Stroud or Young. They both have very high ceilings and are farther along in development, and very young as well.
  11. Agreed, and I don't mean this to come off as Cam slander, but it felt like so many times in his career, Olsen or whoever would make the catch cause the throw was good enough and it goes down as a completion, but had to jump or stop to make a catch. YAC is a receiver stat, but I feel like a large part of it is how good the QB is at placing it in a spot so they don't have to break stride. CJ and Bryce both seem to do this very very well.
  12. Makes you wonder if those vets saw what was coming with Rhule, seemed like a few stepped away right around that time. I'm not sure how much interaction Luke would have had with Rhule to that point anyways to form an opinion, but it sure seemed like convenient timing for a few guys.
  13. I will bear the burdon of starting this one, I apologize in advance.
  14. I've been a Stroud guy most of the season, mostly because I just assumed Bryce was going to go #1 to Houston until they lost that pick. I love everything about Stroud, but there is something about Bryce I keep coming back to that I worry we will regret not taking him if he's able to stay healthy. I also have fomo if we pass on Stroud cause I love his size, and throwing ability. Ultimately its such a hard choice because they are both 21 and are just scratching the surface of their potential.
  15. Lol this is common, almost all teams take prospects out to dinner, especially quarterbacks if you are #1 overall. I'd expect they will do the same for the others, just like CJ and Bryce.
  16. Lol I said I lived in New England, not that I am a fan lol. I hate Patriot fans, I have to listen to them all the time.
  17. The problem is, "system" guys don't win championships in the modern NFL. Gone are the days of a Mac Jones level of player winning a superbowl, outside of having some generational type defense like the Seahawks, and even then it was a short run. You need a superstar who can take over games, Mac Jones will never be that.
  18. I live in New England, he did initially get injured but was ready to go back and they stuck with Zappe as he was playing better than Mac did even uninjured. Mac Jones or Jag Jones is pedestrian, the general sense up here is hes probably not the long term answer, getting him some weapons this year and seeing how it goes, but I wouldnt be surprised to see them swing by on a QB coming up, Belichick is getting older, cant imagine he wants to draft another rookie.
  19. I think some of that is how good his offensive line is and his receivers being able to get open, but I think people are underestimating how quickly Stroud processes his reads and makes decisions. I know Young is being portrayed as the processing guy, which he is extremely good at, but Stroud is as well. I will say in watching some Young tape, he's a magician, but I think he also makes some plays look harder than they could be, I've seen him run out of what are pretty good pockets and start creating, rather than just making it look routine.
  20. Maybe a stupid question, but why do some guys visit, while others are just signed? Or do they all visit but sometimes we don't hear about it until after they sign?
  21. Don't waste your time with that guy, he actually made a post asking what it would take to trade for Mahomes/Kelce yesterday. I thought it was like a hypothetical/for fun thread, but no... he was serious. Said the Panthers should at least make the call. Lol.
  22. Yeah, I'd go Stroud, but Im not going to lie, AR is tantalizing. Its just hard to know how far he would have to come to become more consistent throwing the ball, or if he will ever get to that point. I do wonder if he would actually need as long to develop as people say, having that athleticism and being able to lean on running could make his transition a lot quicker while he works on the consistency as a thrower. But yeah, I think the smart thing is to go Stroud, I see a lot of Burrow in him operating from the pocket (Not super athletic, but more than enough) and he's only 21, so still tons of room to grow.
  23. Probably one of the best options to mentor and back-up a young rookie. As much as people hate on Dalton as a franchise guy (he was limited physically etc) the guy knows how to be a pro and all the things that come with it. I consider it money well spent when we are drafting our future.
  24. Yeah, Id agree there, I think I would be more worried about the surrounding talent, and throwing to good receivers who are open if he wasnt placing the ball so well. Even if those guys are covered, the ball would still be where it needs to be. I think the GA game showed alot in terms of handling a pass rush, that D-Line is filled with future NFL caliber players. I really feel like theres alot of similarities between both Stroud and Herbert's last college game, they showed off that they can move good enough, not Justin Fields/Murray speed, but good enough.
  25. There's some projection there for sure, but if he's that good of a thrower of the ball, I don't him to scramble around like Justin Fields and rush for 100 yards a game, the passing game looks effortless to him. I think my biggest question mark with him is he seems laidback, which can be good, sort of worries me if he has that fire and drive. But the same stuff was said about Herbert coming out, so it might just be his personality.
