  1. It's not really a big dilemma; just extend him 2-3 years and spread the cap hit out as part of his new contract.
  2. I think you can comfortably go into 2025 with him penciled in as the starting center, but we should also keep an eye out in the draft for a good mid-round center.
  3. Wouldn't hate that pick at all, especially if we're sticking with the 3-4.
  4. Their owner (or his son at least, who helps run the franchise) is too busy trying to play wrestling promoter to care.
  5. I'm ok with this. He had literally nothing to work with on the field. I would have been OK with moving on, too, but I don't think Evero was the reason the defense struggled this year.
  6. Ironic that our lone Pro Bowler is on defense in what might be the worst defense in franchise history. Actually makes it more impressive, TBH.
  7. There is no decision; you have to pick up the option. MAYBE there's a decision to make on whether to extend him or not, but there is absolutely zero choice on the 5th year option.
  8. I like his versatility, but with that comes some liability in run defense if we ever switch to a 4-3 defense. I don't think he can be a full-time 4-3 EDGE; we'd likely have to use him as a rush OLB like Khalil Mack early in his career with the Raiders. Which can work; Carter can play off-ball linebacker at a high level as well and offers versatility, but that still would leave us with a hole at DE.
  9. It depends on if you're just talking about this season. If so, you can make a solid argument for Bryce over Stroud. If you're taking last season into account as well, Stroud has the edge. Also, lol @ Aaron Rodgers
  10. He is definitely a boom-or-bust pick, IMO. I'd feel a lot safer with Mason Graham, but the ceiling is insanely high with Carter. I'm just not crazy about him if we do back to a 4-3 defense as I'm not sure he can hold the edge at the NFL level. But he certainly profiles as a potentially elite pass rusher. My ideal scenario is probably Mason Graham in the 1st + Kyle Kennard in the 2nd with another EDGE signed in free agency and another added in the mid-rounds of the draft. But I wouldn't be mad at Carter in the 1st either.
  11. I'd be happy with either Abdul Carter, Mason Graham or Tet McMillan in the 1st. Obviously much will depend on free agency.
  12. I like Walker a lot, too. That said, I'm hoping we move back to a 4-3.
  13. But it's not right now. If Bryce doesn't get any better at all for the rest of his career then what we've seen since his return as the starter is better than Maye's floor.
  14. Don't know about Milroe, but that Michigan kicker wouldn't be a bad pick in the draft.
  15. Anyone who can't see that Bryce has played pretty damn well since returning to the lineup just doesn't want to. Has he reached his potential as a former #1 overall pick? No, obviously. But he has gradually gotten better and has flashed big time QB potential at times, which given how awful he was to start the season is a borderline miracle in itself. There is ZERO reason he shouldn't be the clear starter going into 2025. Wasting draft picks on mid-round QBs when you have a guy who you gave up a ton for that is FINALLY starting to figure it out is just stupid. We need a veteran backup and maybe a young developmental QB behind Bryce. Which is basically what we have now with Dalton + Plummer. I wouldn't have a problem re-signing Dalton as the backup, but we should be able to do better than Jack Plummer as the #3. Jalen Milroe in the 3rd? Not with an early 3rd rounder, no. With a late 3rd or with our 4th? Yes, that makes sense at that price. But we have too many needs to go bargain QB hunting if there are players at other positions that can help us with those picks.
  16. If we don't keep Evero it needs to be Robert Salah.
