Panthers close to deal with G Austin Corbett

Yes, please. -
My Watson trade scenario mock. I have us getting a 4th rounder this year as part of the deal.

So I was messing around with the Spotrac.com roster manager tool playing with different scenarios involving a Watson trade and I was surprised to find that our short-term cap situation could actually improve as a result of a trade. This would largely depend on Sam Darnold being part of the deal and on Watson agreeing to restructure his deal once the trade is official, as well as some additional restructures of existing players (CMC, Robby Anderson) but if the numbers on this site are correct then we could trade for Watson and with a few restructures end up with $40M or so in cap space.

At the end of the day this is all he said/she said. There's no way to prove or disprove anything so it becomes all about optics for both sides.

Welp, doest look like we qualify for Deshaun.

It will depend on what other teams are legitimately interested. I think we're likely offering more than most teams, but that doesn't matter if Watson has a more attractive option and refuses to waive his no-trade clause for the Panthers. At this point, I'm just ready for the whole mess to be settled so we can move on one way or the other. -
So nice to be following grand jury proceedings involving a guy your team wants to trade a brinks truck worth of draft capital and talented young players for to become the face of the franchise.

Tepper hired a private investigator to look into Deshaun Watson

If Watson was legitimately innocent he wouldn't be pleading the fifth tomorrow. I can buy the claims may be exaggerated, but clearly they're not entirely fabricated. -
12 years, $355 million.

This is my "in on every deal" mock. - CMC + a 5th rounder to BUF for their 1st and 3rd rounders. - Robby Anderson + our 6th rounder to NE for their 3rd rounder. - Trade down w/ NYJ as shown.

We traded our first pick in franchise history (1st overall in 1995) to the Bengals.

Your solution for the QB situation?

Stop messing around with half-ass veterans and reclamation projects and draft one worthy of a top-10 selection. Preferably after upgrading the OL to at least a somewhat average unit.
