Without tripping over my words trying the explain. Matt Rhule stated a few times he simply needed "that guy" at QB. Baker 150% believes he is "that guy"(right or wrong). Rhule wants a QB with Bakers personality.

Bakers 2020 should have had MVP votes, sad how fast things get memory holed these days....like right now ALLLL of sudden no ones cares about vaccine status and that was the most important thing a couple months ago. Plus he played hurt and team rewarded that with trading for Mr "I need 38 different masseuse" Watson. Im not even a baker fan, but if browns pay for 70+/-% of this deal and all they want is a 2023 6th or 7th...why not? I do think if he got here, he would pick things up fast and be starting week 1. One of the most underrated parts of Bakers game, he can handle the new WR divas. He would have a talk with Robbie Anderson and they would have a understanding. Honestly Baker needs the panthers just the same as the panthers need a future QB option. I truly believe Baker is Matt Rhules wet dream of a QB.

It is, just fixing one group in the draft is hard and you fixed 2. If Jermaine Johnson was 22, that would be the biggest drop news since Arod.....Theres talk that he may go top 5. I personally have him over aidan hutchinson, he owned the senior bowl by all reports. The league knows this and I doubt he waits over 11 to get that call. You dont need to spend a early pick on edge, there still are legit starter potential in 4-6 rounds. Plenty of high ras guys.

Besides CB, WR is the nest best group on the roster. For me, Ive not gotten even close to the point where I want to pay any WR 30 per...... just insane to pay that to a player that only touches the ball like 5 times, yea they affect the play and all, just dont see the 30 mill effect in my eyes. Id much rather pay some 2TE 15 each and control the edges and middle of the field....plus both would be the highest paid. Divas cry the most...

Im going with extreme. A WR will go in the top 6. (cue the 600 players will be gone by 6th memes) 2 WRs in the top 10(WR market reset this FA, draft will react, Jameson Williams is red hot btw) Sam Howell will fall til 3rd comp area. Aidan Hutchinson will be a bust compared to the other top DE/edges. Scared to give a real QB one, cause I feel no QB should be picked before 45th pick*but teams panic the worst about QBs* soooooooo 4 QBs will be picked in the 1st- 3 towards the late.

Here is the honest deal- Todd was brought in to replace Mel as ESPN lead draft guru......He failed. Mel was just better at TV stuff and Todd never even had Mel or his agents scared.
