I don't know how Walker will end up. I know he's got real long arms, that makes you taller in a sense. He's around 245, you know with age you add weight. Im a size queen as well, but I also toss that aside if you can get the job done. I mean all-world DT darnold was barely 6'1 and one of my all-time favs John randle barely stayed above 260....but they still caused havoc and did their job. Georgia has been the best team at turning out players the last couple years, Walker is among their best. Think 2 years from now, Walker is in the 265 weight range playing edge next to dbrown.....That side of the OL is in for a nightmare each snap. He's still got his coverage skills form LB days, but he's evolved into playmaking edge.(the hope) I disagree with no edge being worth the pick, there's about 5 edges I wouldn't mind at 8 including walker. Cause if you are drafting him that high, the plan must be edge. You are right about about Panthers draft habits, here's another I learnt over time. Even since Shaq Thompson, they like youngest players when the first pick happens(most years). DJ Moore, ickey, BY, Horn, burns, brown were among the youngest in the class. Walker is a young 21......in fact he just turned 21....

Tier 1 1. Carter 2. Hunter / / / / / Tier 2 (more flaws) 3. Jeanty 4. Graham
-
Out of the best guys I follow- there's only 2 blue chips; Carter and hunter. Graham is short armed DT devalued, played next to a beast/team, he cheat by being a wrestler (pros will not care) Warren is a white TE and boxes out defenders rather than getting open.

Bro you are missing a huge part of the draft ranking- projections and upside. Walker is nuclear off charts for those two key points.

I Think Ashton Jeanty will be the Pick at #8

I almost did a thread in which Dan Morgan had to step down and Marty herniay came back for a 3rd trip..... You got it right, Im being 100% truthful- he would draft jeanty. Now here's the "M. Night " Shyamalan twist, this pick would be successful and continue his first round brilliance. I need a strong drink.... -

LAST MINUTE: Panthers making a change at Stadium DJ
Basbear replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Many moons ago, couple friends stopped my apartment for a smoke session. I would just play tunes most times and this was during the burnt CB era. I made one of my "infamous" mixes and put this song in it- No BS, we nearly torn down the whole apartment building for the full song!! -
I sense your ruse, just saying You can get the texan in the 4th on most of these mock Sims. I wouldn't be against.

he's not doing drills, so this helps Panthers......buts kills this statement....
-
I need to wait until the combine.... I heard jalon will not be doing drills due to a injury.

I don't even give inches 1% chance to stay here, even with them respecting his professionalism. Dan is just lip service on this, he's gone. *unless they screwed up his contract. There was a 2 year out - POTENTIAL OUT: 2025, 2 YR, $13,200,000; $2,950,000 DEAD CAP. Best I understand its 5 million in cap space SAVED. Besides one game and few snaps, he's done less than UDFA level. He does blitz pickup great. Chubba just out ran him with weak or strong OLs. Carolina can do better.

bro, he does have impressive highlights and coming from pen state....they are turning out athletic freaks shows. Just TE is after RB, SS, and C in value terms. I hold it much higher, but the league doesn't. They just need every spot and depth. History has shown its best to wait on TE. Like half the league and the elite came from the 3rd 4th round. The deal is they need at least 2, cause Dave base is 12personal I do see a lane in which the Panthers draft a defense stud at 8th and use the 57th on TE. I always want to control the middle of the field, TE allow that. I got no clue why the league doesn't pay or value them. If I was GM, Id have two studs at TE and pay whatever top dollar is (14millper LOL) for each.

I still can not believe so many are upset at XL. My brothers in Christ, he was rookie drafted 32nd. Please give him some time to get better!!

That's making me nervy, but I stand my bet and gift number. He will not see the end of that, its for cap purposes. He'd get cut on year 2 or 3. Same for a 4 year 40milliion deal. He's shown mid-level LT&RT play and the whole 2022 he played great as LG. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/72425/walker-little https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/25193/alex-cappa He's as good as those no-names! Teams have extra money to spend.

I gave you a gift with that number, I still think he gets over that. My guess is like 5years 50million range. That number could break both our brains if a couple teams believes he's a starting LT. Or I could vastly be overestimating his big market...

Ive already posted about my draft crush Walter Nolen, well he vaults into the serious top ten after combine week!! I think he will show that rare explosion that makes coaches drool during drills.
