  1. I don't know about voodoo and "must win" type of games..... Just if the Panthers lose week 1 against the jags, I feel the effect will be nuclear-level bad. I would immediately lose all hope and think this is 2-4 win team. I feel a huge part of the fan base would feel the same. So this is about the most important week 1 in panther history. If they can not beat Trevor who's been the worst QB for years and pitiful jags after training care.......I swear that would erase the whole season type of feels.
  2. Very simple terms with rough numbers. BY is due 10 million over the next 2 years. *(Panthers already gave signing bonus add another 10mill) Kyle is due 100 million over the next 2 years. BY is about to turn 24 years old. Kyle is about to turn 28 years old. Age and money is a complete win for the BY. BUT I bet, if the names are reversed, not one sane thinking panther fan would trade a 10mill 24 year old Kyle for 100mill 28 year old BY. If all was equal, I think the clear better option would be Kyle, no hate just plain facts. Kyle has the superior arm and better athletically. BY seems to have a better focus and care for his craft, but last year's comments hurt. Still better than Kyle not caring about knowing the plays in playbook while he's playing 4,000 hours of COD. Guess what, very very soon BY will need a new contract........ It could be higher than kylers 46mill per....unless BY wins the SB MVP you can count me out of paying him anything around 50million per. At those numbers, just draft one. IMO BY deserves what another 1st overall pick recently got- Baker 3 year 100 million is about it for last 9 game BY.
  3. You buying the hype and mysterious lore?? Only thing that's gave me hope is NFC south. Wriffs is missing the the first part of the season opens the door more, just need ATL to fail given they traded away 2026 1st.
  4. . .. .... ....... <me ducking out to check on Kyle Murray's contract...>
  5. Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season. Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush. The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
  6. You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint- Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
  7. THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted. Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
  8. Somehow this channel has been uploading NFL games, few are Panthers games just scroll. https://www.youtube.com/@frankiesacco/videos
  9. Why is BY wearing red shoes??
  10. Checked the Panthers all-time list- Robert McClain has to be the answer. Dang I missed that one. He had a long career for 7th and that's the key to the whole game. I think up unto last year both Will Montgomery and Robert McClain were still playing. Robert even had had a try out like 10 years later for the Panthers. I finally remeber his name and seeing he played for like 6 teams, but the fact he was still playing. Almost had the 4 for 4!!!
  11. Old JJ from when the observer was a stepping stone to a much better Job. This is the guy I am trying to figure out- He makes comments about players and minutes after the same video is used again. Paging @Mr. Scot for the life line...
  12. Upon rereading @CRA post. I'd like to change my OLman pick to will montgomery. I thought either Ryan, will, or hangman. Rethinking and still no cheating- Will Montgomery had a looong career for a 7th and started plenty for washington. I got to stick with the others.
  13. No cheat, didn't even scroll past your post. I got two clear ones- Captain Munnerlyn and Josh Norman the next two are my best guesses MIke Minter to round out the DBs Ryan Kalil as the OLman
  14. One of the all-timers for the career he had. Honestly I big part of my wanting him, I see more. He looked bored at times or like no one was giving him him enough challenge. The simple solution is the NFL will give you that "more" you are looking for... He's already got a taste with Horn and MJ...
  15. Fluffed up to the fullest. Does anyone know the young guy sitting at the table with Dan and Dave?? It's in the beginning parts and they are at Indy. Best I know he's not a coach.
  16. Another Guard?? Small ball was just a meme right????? Again can anyone confirm Kon had more than 2 dunks for the season?? I watched more highlights and saw lots of layups. Did see one thunder dunk tho... Jeff just needs to finish this off-season with a guard package trade for a PF/C. Call Portland, that's a start!
  17. XL treatment is in the top 5 What The Fuccks for the the huddle. It just happens that the 32nd team and 33rd team GMs knew each other very well. Panthers viewed the 5th year option as being worth a late 6th and a trade was made to make XL a 1st rounder. He had injuries in OTAs, mini camp and TC. Like others had more injuries in season and just kept playing. Half the season was bad BY and dalton. He still had 500 yds, 5 TDs, and like 45 recs. Just super weird the treatment. BTW people love to focus on the bad plays, but there was only one WR that caught a TD on the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, can you guess who that was?? By many accounts the Pats wanted XL badly and had to select Polk instead, there's strong rumors that Polk is either going to be cut or traded for a 2078 7th rounder. Panthers could have easily been in this situation if not for the Bills allowing the trade up. It pays to have friends.... I feel XL will force some fans to plates of raccoon as he develops. (please stay healthy)
  18. Im very similar to Ron in being a company/league man. But that ends after the third head hit, I would have lost my religion. Then after I got kicked out of the game, Id 100% be dropping nukes in the after-game presser. fug you fine me whatever, I am going to protect my QB and since logic and reason isn't being used, I can be the bad guy. The replays showed clear evidence, Id feel no shame in cussing out a crew of chicken poo refs. In fact Id tell the video staff to play infractions on a split screen during my press conference.
  19. Honestly the 2024 draft class(minus brooks). All are in line to be starters, expect crumedy who's fighting for a 53. Still that class was looking terrible, is now looking like 4 starters and maybe 1 depth. Anytime you draft 2 starters and a key depth piece its a good draft. 4 starters are rare and that's with brooks who could have made 5 starters if not for awful luck. That draft also helped land starter Michael Jackson in a round about way, big bonus..
  20. GOD DAM! Shams Charania @ShamsCharania Free agent center Mason Plumlee has agreed to a one-year, $3.6 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets, sources tell ESPN. The Hornets get some frontcourt depth, completing a contract with Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports for Plumlee's 13th NBA season.
  21. Refs had it out for Cam after that. ED was chief king poo among the refs, they had to defend their boy...
  22. I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3. Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys. I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
  23. Part of the conspiracy about remmers was they did give help in play calls, according to Darin Gantt. Just for whatever reason the players missed the play call numerous times. I mean until that point, they never had to shift protection that whole season. They hadn't practiced it either. My biggest beef with the whole Cam era was Ron Rivera never blew a fuse by cussing out the refs or go on a epic rant that cost him 100,000 calling out the hypocrisy with player safety when defenders are head hunting my QB. I know he sent in plays and had contact with league officials, it didn't stop the blatant behavior of scrambling Cams brain when the league had great focus on protecting QBs. The nice guy routine didn't wrong RON and you just didn't want to upset the NFL by going off during and after games. I do know this as well, after Cam told the reporters " Youre not old enough for that call ". The refs had each others back worse than the cops or married folks, from that point on it was open season. Such petty BS should never happen in a professional league.
