  1. I mean her husband bought the team and gave her a high position not only in his Sports Group, but the team itself. She clearly wants to be involved and learn the business. Her being unqualified to have her position is nothing out of the ordinary in the NFL. Family members get high jobs regularly it's just usually father/sons. I have no argument for her OR Tepper traveling to pro days as that was unordinary. She is definitely catching extra heat on here from the good ole boys though that she wouldn't be if she was Tepper's son.
  2. Calling out dumb comments isn't "white knighting" lol. I feel like "white knighting" is becoming the new "woke." Anyway this thread is pretty derailed and probably heading to the ole TB before long....
  3. You are bringing back full circle. Family members getting positions is nothing new. Going to pro days and influencing the HC and GM is not normal.
  4. Waldo stop trying to be one of the bros. You are better than that.
  5. She has a position with Tepper's Sports Group and has a position on the team. Trying to down talk it because she is a woman is nonsense. She will have input on the franchise as many other staff members will. However, going to the pro days and having input on football decisions should be left to the GM and HC not Nicole OR David.
  6. @frankw comments like this is where those claims were coming from, but yeah let's act like it's an overreaction.
  7. Simplified version for those who need it. Nicole having a position in her family's business is not that big of a deal. Nicole AND Dave going to pro days and influencing football decisions is concerning and not a good look.
  8. I don't have an issue with any of them. I am using them to show it isn't a big of a deal that Nicole has a position with the team. Robert Kraft's son Jonathan immediately became VP, Vice Chairman, and now President of the Patriots.
  9. They were given jobs to get experience because of their family. It's really not that uncommon in the workplace. Especially when there is no board and the company is owned by one person or family.
  10. Completely missed the point. I have no problem with the Rooney’s and I’m showing you that other owners also let their family have positions. Sometimes to the good. @frankwcaught on pretty easy.
  11. She doesn't have any qualifications and neither does Dave, but they own the team. I know Tepper is the current owner, but Nicole is part of his family and holds a position. The Steelers have Anthony Rooney as a Scouting Intern, Dan Rooney Jr as VP of Player Personnel, Arthur Rooney Jr as VP and Arthur Rooney II (which is different than Jr for whatever reason) as the President.
  12. Maybe he is wanting the fans to know he is upset and expects change too. Pretty lame IMO, but I could see that angle.
  13. Yeah well I mean you have some people on this thread that have been banned (well I guess temporarily banned) over their trolling of Verge, so it's not that surprising. They acted the same what when Sheena was posting. Pretty embarrassing to see this in 2023 yet here we are....
  14. He is doing what every film review analysts does. Just making observations based on what he is seeing.
  15. Week 1 he overthrew a WR (weak ass arm) deep and TMJ gave up on a route that Young laid up deep for him. He is capable of doing it, he just isn't capable of calling his on plays to do it yet. Reich is an old school coach that is "developing" a rookie QB. He stated the quick short passes were intentional due to Flores bringing the blitz regularly. Not to mention Dalton had to specifically tell Reich to add some deep passes for him. This tells me the offense was the same until the decade plus old vet requested it be changed.
  16. He would have to be damn near perfect for some people to give him credit.
  17. He also wanted Icky moved to OG and in this offense he might be right.
  18. I have no problem with Tremble. He doesn't get many looks but he also doesn't draw any flags or drop many passes. Can't hate on him at all.
  19. 100% my fault. I meant to type Thomas. He is the one who dropped the TD. I'm sending Tommy an apology right now.
  20. Zero fumbles is always the goal especially in the red zone like last week. It looks like Young has 3 on the year which is around 9th in the league (he did miss a game too which probably estimates him to be at 4) and his pressured/hit number has to be towards the top with Zavala playing... You are right thought, we have to protect the ball especially in the red zone. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/fumbles
  21. Between the back to back dropped TDs and these dumb OL meltdowns our redzone offense is a mess. Young's fumble and near int were awful but some what expected for a rookie. A vet TE and WR dropping TDs that are literally hitting them in the face are unacceptable. Constantly playing behind the sticks with false starts and Sanders running into our backup OGs might be the worst way to develop a QB.
  22. Yeah Zavala was his guy too due to his reaction when we drafted him.
