  1. You couldn’t stomach the second half yesterday? Wasn’t the 2nd half 16-0 in our favor?
  2. Just an hour ago with a troll name…. Hmmm yeah you are a legit poster.
  3. So far Frank Reich needs to be fired because he won’t get mad during a preseason game. Icky is a bust and should try to move to OG. We should bench the top pick in the draft to save him. Our exact same OL last year will be worst than 5 Byron Bells on the OL. The Huddle is a preseason emotional roller coaster.
  4. Not to mention the preseason is a different animal with the new 3 game model. When it was 4 games the 3rd was a dress rehearsal and the 4th was for depth. Everyone does their own thing now. I’ve seen starters vs 3rd and 4th stringers in several games already.
  5. Yeah Reich’s offense had Jonathan Taylor putting up borderline MVP numbers. He will run the ball often, especially with a rookie QB.
  6. Logical and correct answer. This is really all that needs to be said. It’s like a WR running the wrong route.
  7. Thank you! I’ve seen no analyst question our promising young LT’s “fit” in our system (which he haven’t even seen in full yet). He just needs to get more reps and learn his assignments.
  8. It’s not ideal for a young raw (at pass blocking) LT to have to learn a new system again. I agree with that 100%. I don’t think there was a better option in his draft, but yeah in an ideal world we sign an elite, nimble, dancing bear type vet LT to protect Young’s blindside. Those just aren’t available so we have to develop our own. The good news is Icky has shown he can be great and belongs in the NFL already. He should grow and continue to develop with Young.
  9. He was drafted to be a franchise LT. His pass blocking grade was a 67.5 which put him towards the top of the rookies in pass blocking only despite struggling early in the season. He should be solid in most offenses. I’ve seen nothing outside of random huddlers suggesting our promising rookie LT can’t play well in a shotgun Bryce Young offense. That’s simply people overreacting to Icky missing some assignments (nothing to do with physical ability) in a couple preseason games. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/15/panthers-lt-ikem-ekwonu-rookie-rankings-nfl/ Allowing only 3 sacks over the final 15 games is pretty impressive. Does running the ball help set the tone for the OL? Of course and I’m sure our staff with Brown (former running coordinator) and Staley are going to incorporate that into our offense.
  10. I think we will be better than people are thing. This staff he put together is too good to be that bad.
  11. It sounds to me like he is grooming Brown to take over, which means he will be heavily involved in it.
  12. Just wait until the regular season when we use our starters and open up the playbook. I have no reason to write off any coach after a couple preseason games. If you thought Reich was going to be emotional on the sidelines you had him wrong from the beginning. Caldwell is an offensive advisor and he was always calm as well. Behind closed doors I’m sure he addresses the issues appropriately or lets his staff handle it. Campen isn’t afraid to the the OL know he expects better. Icky misread an assignment and I understand it was bad in limited playing time. Overall the OL depth played much better than last week.
  13. Luck retiring and the owner forcing him to bench Ryan for a Ehlinger had something to do with it as well.
  14. https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/.amp/gm-report/frank-reich-to-call-offensive-plays-in-2023 Looks like he will start off as the play caller “leaning heavily on Brown” and pass it off to Brown when the time is right.
  15. Our OL showed they were solid and capable last year. We should have the same guys (once Corbett comes back) and same OL coach. Give them a minute to learn the new playbook and they should be fine.
  16. I know it’s the last preseason game, but Young probably needs to play several more series. He needs the reps. I’m surprised he didn’t play the whole first half yesterday honestly.
  17. Now imagine writing him off before preseason is over. Only on the huddle.
  18. It’s hard to tell with only a fraction of the playbook being used. It would make the most sense for Brown to call plays with Reich having input/final say. If Reich is letting him call half the plays during preseason, I don’t see him taking all of that away from Brown when the season starts. He will at minimum be heavily involved in the play calling IMO.
  19. Malik Willis looked solid against defenses last preseason. Regular season was a different story.
  20. It was him running the wrong assignment. He went for the same guy BC did originally then tried to recover. That is mental and doesn’t matter what position he is playing.
