  1. I also wonder if Sanders was suppose to break free for a quick route in that play. Watching him get taken out of the play would be an easy indicator of what the flag was for. It's hard to sit back and play Monday Morning QB without knowing the exact plays they were running.
  2. The Rams were winless in the preseason when they won the Super Bowl as well. I shared a Reddit post where they took a deep dive from 2022 (I think) and back to show there is no correlation between preseason record and regular season. It can be an indicator of depth which we already knew we had very little of. I would have still preferred the starters stay in yesterday until they found a little bit of rhythm. The reality is a lot of teams didn’t even play starters this past week as well. But us being a young team, starting off on the road it would have been smart to try to let the offense end on a high note IMO.
  3. I won’t worry too much until the regular season games. I do think the starters probably need a couple more series. They had a lot of kinks to work out today.
  4. Drew Allar has some nice tools. Mendoza and Leavitt will get some looks. Scouts are actually high on the Clemson QB too. I kind of want to see how Green does in Arkansas and of course there will be players no one predicted showing out.
  5. Yeah if Young shits the bed we ride it out and draft his replacement.
  6. Oh the draft could be solid without him. The next year could be Manning vs Lagway.
  7. Apparently it mimicked being overheated so that’s what they originally thought happened. Hope he heals up fast, he needs reps.
  8. Sanders is a strong personality to be a backup. I think that is why he dropped in the draft as well. You draft Sanders with the gameplan of him eventually becoming the starter. I don’t think we are there yet with Bryce. I wouldn’t have been against Ewers later in the draft though. Could be a decent backup with a bit of a ceiling.
  9. I was looking at Mills and Slovis too. It was short lived after he threw a pick Back to being Plummer…
  10. Don’t get me wrong I’m just looking at the box score but he is the best QB not named Stroud.
  11. Darnold was more than JJ. It was O’Connell’s scheme with a solid OL and having possibly the best WR to pair with Addison was just bonus. If you are expecting JJ with every top 10 WR prepare for some disappointment. We need some franchise players to build around right now. Pittman would probably be our best WR since Smith? I mean Moose broke 1000 yards 3 out of his 14 years and he is considered our 2nd best WR. I know offenses are more pass happy now but just giving some perspective. I’ll take a young 1000 yard WR and try to put him in a consistent offense with good QB play and he should have some great production.
  12. I still want a vet safety and ILB once teams start making their cuts. I’d feel a good bit better about the roster. Scott starting is kind of scary…
  13. I was kind of thinking I wouldn't be upset with Pittman on our team... It could be much worse.
  14. Yeah we are on the same page. I'd rather keep Horn for the potential, but Moore knows the system and is another vet who is decent at special teams as well. I'd prefer Horn and just stashing Moore on PS until someone gets hurt.
  15. Coker had that touchdown fever from earlier this week.
  16. I think Renfrow is a lock with Horn and Moore fighting for the last spot and Moore probably has the edge.
  17. Ready to see the besties reunited (CJ and Bryce).
  18. We are talking about a single game performance. You are way out in left field rambling on at this point.
  19. His good performances do get overblown by fans. I’d credit that to our pure desperation of anything from the QB position. When he plays well some will continue to overhype while others will continue to discredit it. I feel like that’s always going to happen in sports. Especially in relation to the QB position.
