  1. I wonder why we are so intrigued with him. No way he makes it to 39 right?
  2. They both made the playoffs once. When Young was there he made the championship. Stroud is 0-1 in the playoffs and 0-2 against Michigan. Who was the last OSU QB to not beat Michigan? I honestly can’t remember.
  3. Great arm strength isn’t. Those actually fit Mahomes and Rodgers better. Young’s arm is average for the NFL. Aside from that those can be said for most successful QBs. They are both smart and accurate! Holy poo they most be the same QB.
  4. Young made the championship game and actually beat UGA that year. Stroud couldn’t even beat his rival. Who was the last OSU QB that never beat Michigan? Max Duggan beat them.
  5. You definitely mentioned the frame as a weakness and pointed out the injury. Sure we can move the goal post though. Moving around the pocket and being accurate… yeah Mahomes and Rodgers don’t ever move around in the pocket or extend plays. They actually run MORE than Young and are constantly moving the pocket and extending plays. Maybe you are having a little trouble comprehending and projecting on others??
  6. So now that you see RG3 was in fact the same height and weight as Mahomes and Rodgers I hope you feel silly about this whole thread.
  7. He weighed 223 at the combine when he was drafted. That’s when they were concerned about his frame. I can post a picture showing Young at 6’ 205. Official measurements were what I was using.
  8. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/football-insider/post/nfl-combine-robert-griffin-iii-measures-6-feet-2-3--8-inches-tall/2012/02/24/gIQApSrqXR_blog.html The official combine measurements are The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback measured 6 feet, 2 3 / 8 inches at the NFL Scouting Combine this morning. He weighed in at 223 pounds.
  9. Rodgers and Mahomes are RG3’s size and yes they move around in the pocket. Hell they will run for a first if needed. It’s complete nonsense.
  10. RG3 is the same height and weight as Mahomes and Rodgers. Are they too small to draft because they might get injured? RG3 is bigger than Caleb Williams. Would you not want him either?
  11. Alex Smith and Teddy had some nasty leg injuries as well. Worse that strictly ACLs.
  12. His. Injury. Was. Non. Contact. We have two OGs that finished the season on IR due to leg injuries. Were they not big enough? Did they move around too fast?
  13. When the Chiefs let Dontari Poe take some snaps at QB they knew what they were doing. He even threw a TD!
  14. Stroud weighs less and only has 1 inch in height on him. So smaller, but taller….. What does it mean?!?! Halfway fuged?
  15. Tepper wanted Fields. Also RG3’s injury had nothing to do with his frame. Burrow tore his ACL, Smith broke his leg, Teddy tore his knee to pieces. These are leg injuries from twisting and turning the wrong way, I’m not sure size has anything to do with it…
  16. Russ has had a long career. Young is a very smart man. He will learn quickly how to limit the amount of hits he takes in the NFL. The size is concerning though I get it. Let’s just hope for the best.
  17. To quote @stan786 Young will be the cutest little Super Bowl MVP we have ever seen!
  18. Yeah Young’s defense sucked in his two losses as well. Especially the UT game. Why does Stroud get a pass there and Young doesn’t? Did you see what happened to Teddy Bridgewater’s knee? Pocket passers can get messed up pretty bad also. What about Alex Smith’s leg?
  19. I thought it was Mahomes draft profile. Comparing RG3 to Young is odd and I’m not seeing it. Young went to the championship game when he had great WRs like Stroud. Even Mahomes missed the playoffs with subpar talent around him. Now why couldn’t Stroud beat Michigan? Even Duggan did that…
  20. Honesty I'm not sure there is an offense he can't run. He will be able to make the quick reads for the RPO IMO. As long as he isn't running too much I'm sure he will be fine. AR would be pretty awesome to watch in a RPO. Plus I'm sure Brown will adjust the playbook as he sees Young in action.
