  1. Yeah agreed, but the smaller size one taking hits is more concerning. Does it mean he shouldn't go 1? No. It's is his biggest concern. I don't hear scouts/analysts showing concern about the other QBs being durable in the NFL.
  2. Yeah he was also playing hurt that day and had to rehab his shoulder afterwards. Now imagine this happening more often with bigger faster players. If someone survives a car crash it doesn't mean that will survive the next one right?
  3. Someone stated a universal critique about Young. His size is concerning especially after what happened to Tua who is larger than him. So you try to say we should be concerned about another larger QB's size to counter it. That's just nonsense. So if the 6'3" 220 guy is "concerning" what does that make the 5'10" 190 guy? Off draft boards? Someone critiqued your guy and you couldn't handle it. This is what you can't grasp. Most people on here have no problem with Young, but we can't have a normal conversation about his strengths and weaknesses without some off the wall debate. All the QBs in this draft have weaknesses and yes the Tua injury raises eyebrows about Young's size. Todd McShay already said this exact thing.

  6. 6'3" 220 with ability to add weight is nothing crazy for an NFL QB. 5'10" 190 is historically low. If Tua who was considered undersized got tossed (literally) around and injured it is definitely concerning for a shorter, smaller QB. It's very simple...
  7. You can't critique his boy Young he can't handle it.
  8. Let's make it easy. Show me where any analyst/scout/coach is concerned with Stroud's size. Our own HC stated there was a concern with Young's. Why do you think that is?
  9. I think there are several things to consider. Stroud shouldn't have an issue adding weight to his frame and he clearly needs to. The next thing would be playing style. Stroud mimics his game after Brees with quick passes out of the pocket and limits the hits he takes. Tua and Young tend to take extra hits running around extending plays. That's just how I see it and I haven't heard any analysts show concern about Stroud's weight and frame. Stroud's issue is he always had elite talent around him and struggled under pressure most of the season (UGA game aside). Both will need great OLs at the next level. Stroud because he excels in the pocket and Young to limit the hits he takes. The good news is we have a solid young OL already.
  10. Young has great tape and probably the best of the bunch, but it's far from perfect. Watch him against LSU (who probably has the best DL talent of any team he played last year). Their athletic defensive front gave him issues and that's something he will face every year in the NFL. He also had a great OL and the best RB out of all of the prospects. Stroud had the best WR by a long shot (and probably the best OL) while Young had the best RB. It really is hard to project college QBs in the NFL and I'm glad it isn't my job to do so.
  11. Yeah it’s fun to argue and debate on here, but any of these guys paired with our staff should be exciting for our fans.
  12. I would love to have Young on our team. Mature young man owning a loss and you can tell he is taking it personally. He desire to win is great and will be great in our locker room.
  13. We are getting downs at 39 anyway. I heard it from Trap.
  14. I heard they are cutting the party short in honor of Young.
  15. His accuracy is also due to his lack of WRs running the wrote routes and dropping open passes. They were already weak at WR compared to normal Florida teams and add in the injuries to the starting WRs. He was running an offense outclassed against SEC defenses. I'm not going to say it's a strength as he definitely has some overthrows, but they are usually when his feet aren't set. I think he is as correctable and coachable as Allen and already looks much better from the pocket than Allen did in college.
  16. The don't sit the man. Let him play right away like they did with Allen.
  17. The league is QB obsessed right now. That won’t happen to a prospect like Young.
  18. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/bryce-young-pre-draft-test-similar-bears-justin-fields?amp If this test shows how well they can process defenses, then Fields must be better at it that people are saying right? It will be interesting to see him with time and weapons.
  19. Lol you were just high on CJ like 2 days ago? I’m to the point where I’ll get behind whoever Reich/Fitt pick. I have my opinions, but they are way more qualified than me. It’s razor thin margins between the 2 of them. It’s why the Huddle will continue to go back and forth until we draft one.
