  1. If he lands in the right spot with the right coach, watch out NFL!!! I've heard he might stay another year though...
  2. It's just lazy analytics. Is Hurts like Jones, Tua, or Young? Is the current Clemson QB anything like Lawrence? Be better people.
  3. What if someone enjoys All I Want for Christmas, but not Pumpkin Spice Lattes? Asking for a friend....
  4. He is stuck in a bit of a pickle because his troll has briefly come true and we are rolling with PJ Walker. He is in no man's land for a troll account.... Next thing you know our new coach will name Corral the undisputed starter and @rippadonnwill be in the same place.
  5. I liked WIllis, but didn't trust Rhule to develop him. I honestly thought Corral could be the best for our system. Even if we had the same staff here I wouldn't expect them to pass on a top QB because of a 3rd round pick, much less a new staff that isn't invested in him at all. We are drafting one and if Corral looks great then we could have two young good QBs which is a good problem to have.
  6. Also Corral is a 3rd round injured QB. He will probably get treated like one. Would we pass on a top QB because we didn’t see Will Grier play his rookie year??
  7. Wait a minute Young has had MORE WRs wide open downfield than Stroud? I keep hearing from team Young that Stroud’s team is more loaded and his WRs are more open? Interesting stat here…
  8. I mean the only negative I hear about Stroud is he has too much talent around him. That’s not something he can control and isn’t really a negative as much as a question mark. I believe he has been playing without his top WR these past few games also (granted he has plenty of talent around him).
  9. It's a huge advantage when they can run like that plus throw, but you are right in the fact that it can be overused with wear and tear on the QB. Hell we see RBs having shorter careers from being ran into the ground.
  10. Yeah he still has no weapons, OL, and a defensive minded HC after having a rookie year of Nagy. In spite of all of that he showed some flashes Monday night. He is the QB Shanahan should have selected at 3 IMO.
  11. None of those were 1st rounds picks, I believe Pryor was in the supplemental draft, Smith was the end of the 5th round, Jones was the 4th (I can't really call any of those a bust). Those are Tressell QBs that were in a gimmick offense made for college, Ryan Day runs a much more pro style offense. The previous 1st round bust before Haskins was from the 1980s, and the 1940s before that (who died in combat). They are definitely not setting up Fields for success with two 5th round tackles and Mooney as his only half way decent weapon. I'm not sure running Cam shortened his career as much as us never giving him a good OL. His long term injuries came from hits in the pocket (looking at you TJ Watt).
  12. I haven’t given up on Fields just yet (yes I am still quite the fanboy) and he landed in a terrible spot. Before Fields OSU had Haskins and who else as a first round QB bust?
  13. Right now for me it's Stroud- seems to be the most complete with everything you want in a QB (size, athletics ability, intelligence, arm) Young/Levis- Levis has the tools but has never really dominated a game (he is usually playing for a Kentucky team that is outmatch). Young looks the part, but size and durability concern me. He likes to extend plays and take hits which might cause trouble on the next level Hooker- Checks a lot of boxes even with the age thing, but that offense is designed to catch the defense off balance and have wide open WRs. I think he is a hardworking good sized QB that will put in the work to be solid at the next level Penix Jr- Check him out over at Washington. He put up not so impressive numbers at Indiana but is looking great since he transferred. He is a lefty gunslinger that has decent size and mobility to go along with it. I'm curious to see how he finishes out the season
  14. I mean it makes some sense. LT might be the second most important position on the team. If you imagine a similar situation but with QBs instead then it’s a stronger case. Say we draft Stoud in the top 10 and have Foles as his vet backup. If Stroud is bonding with Foles and he is really mentoring him into his role, I don’t think you flip Foles midseason for a late pick. It’s good for a rookie to have that mentor at least for a full season.
  15. Pretty sure Cam had plenty of batted balls and Josh Allen is towards the top of the league right now. Both are/were tall QBs.
  16. Yep. Good trade for a high mileage overpaid RB.
  17. Sure I can. We eat it in one lump sum and aren’t hurting our cap in 2024 and 2025 with it. That’s the name of the game right now. Take our lump this year from all these shitty contracts and be done with them after than. The picks obviously help with our future as well.
  18. The Niners have Debo Samuel and George Kittle to take some pressure off CMC. He success there doesn't necessarily translate to success here. We needed to clear that RB salary off our books. Yeah we take a big his this year but that's it. We can wash our hands of overpriced RBs and hopefully not make that mistake again....
  19. Wait are you two not the same poster??
  20. Gross was rock solid and should have been able to retire whenever he felt like it. Very smart player too.
  21. His shoulder is what gave out. His head and mind are fine. They were some bull poo no calls, but his throwing shoulder is what has officially given out.
  22. We never gave Cam a proper OL. When he had Oher and Remmers (who were average to below) he took us to the damn Super Bowl.
  23. I can’t figure out who is getting paid on their roster. Rookie QB, no real weapons, no OL, a decent defense I suppose…
  24. Yeah it’s by design. It’s like the FO thought “he can run, we don’t need an OL.”
