If he plays mediocre (as in middle of the pack) that would be a significant increase from last year. I think that would be reasonable and should be a sign he is coachable and will get better. As @Khyber53posted, the worst case would be the team playing well in spit of Darnold. That would mean we would be unloading a lot of assets to try to find our next QB the following offseason…

Players have a right to speak out/sit out and teams have a right to cut them. Look at GB scrambling around trying to appease Rodgers and it’s all acceptable via their contract.

Players get traded all the time by “leaking” they want out. Hell it just happened with Julio. They apparently offered Rodgers the richest QB contract for his “whining.” Now it looks like Adams isn’t going to sign a long term contract either, it’s becoming quite the ripple effect. If more players from Green Bay follow they are going to be in trouble soon. Like it or not they absolutely have some leverage, especially the star players.

Definitely loves the “owners” over the players. Even spent time arguing the NBA owners over the players as far of a stretch that is…

Our line has been ignored way too long. It’s still perhaps our biggest weakness and WR might actually be a strength pending Marshall and Shi Smith. Signing Moton was the right call every day of the week and twice on Tuesday (because Taco Tuesday).

It’s more of a panic out of being wrong. The guy was convinced Julio wouldn’t be traded and Watson would be forced to play. Julio didn’t pan out as he wanted and now the Texans are willing to trade Watson. He is lucky Watson got into legal trouble or he would have already been traded by now. Oh yeah he also didn’t think we would unload Teddy…

I’ve never had a problem with a player letting a team know he wants a trade. If I owned a team I wouldn’t want to be paying out millions of dollars towards a player that doesn’t want to be there, especially when I can get some assets in return.

I mean what are they suppose to say? I don’t really want him here, but there is definitely baggage that comes with whoever trades for him..,
