    Did you mean to quote my Miles comment? I agree with what you are saying in relation to Melo. It’s a player’s league now which is why we need to get serious about building around Melo. It’s why he was there for the Miller workout. We need to hire a good coach to develop these players and get the team competitive so players will stay.

    Yeah that’s a fair point. A year of him (minus 10 games) is worth more than what little a team would give up for him.

    Now trade his ass. He will be an unrestricted free agent after this year and apparently his agent and the Hornets are far off in agreeing to a longer contract. Might as well get a return while we can.

    I would love to sign and trade Bridges. Gets us some value without having him on our roster.

    MJ having less influence, Melo locked down for 5 years, and drafting Miller should make it more attractive IMO.

    Exactly! This offer was expected, the concern was if he would take it or not.

    You for real? You need to look at what these players are getting now. This was expected and the right move. The big concern was he would leave for a larger market.

    Miller would play SG which he can do very well with his ball handling skills.

    Yep and Melo just extended with us. Miller is a much better fit and equal talent.

    Williams would make a great tone setter for our young team (especially on defense). He could be our Draymond Green at a smaller level. I’d prefer to sign Williams for less over PJ and use that money for depth. We also need to trade Rozier and let Ball and Miller handle the guard spots.

    Maybe the hair style makes him look bigger?

    He used to play at some of the local bars at West Georgia back when I was getting my undergrad degree from there (he graduated from there). It was right before he started blowing up, but it was cool to see him up close at some of those smaller venues.

    Join the hype!! No I think we will be better than expected. I am not expecting miracles with a new staff and rookie QB, but the hope is that we will be competitive and trending in the right direction as the year progresses.

    That's fair. Caldwell, Capers, Tabor, and Campen are all proven though. I think Evero and Brown ae future head coaches, but you are right they are still very young and haven't all worked together yet.

    Plus he actually has full control to coach as he sees fit. Something the Colts owner would never let him have.

    I just think he is a great fit for a rookie QB with a solid OL. Our staff is what is so great honestly. It will be hard to find a better staff from top to bottom in the league IMO.

    Maybe Miles and Rozier plus some. Would Miller and PG be too similar of players though?

    It’s like @WOW!!said. Scoot’s marketing team has him hyped up for years now. He actually didn’t progress as much this year as people projected but no one seems to care. He is a highlight reel which is what most of his fans see, but a 3 and D 6’9” shooter who has handles is a much more rare thing to come by. We already have a taller Scoot in Melo.

    We have a PG, SF/SG, and C with nice potential. Hayward and Rozier are solid vets to have if we resign Miles (not a fan) that’s another big man. Not a great roster, but could be fun in with the right staff to develop them.

    I don’t hate it. Something new is better than recycling bad coaches. We should hire Doc Rivers or Bud IMO, but I would be happy with a new face.

    I'm just enjoying how far they will take this because their guy didn't get drafted. I've heard people call the police and DA crooked in order to help Miller not get in trouble. Meanwhile his two teammates (also Alabama players) got arrested immediately and are refused bail....
