  1. Huh? Don’t see that comp at all. Hooker throws more deep balls and is bigger/faster. His offense just gets his WRs wide open down the field so it’s hard to see how he can play with tight coverage. Teddy is a check down accurate pocket passer.
  2. He said Josh Allen wasn’t a dual threat QB. I wouldn’t take his “takes” very seriously…
  3. That 2020 class is looking solid (aside from Love).
  4. Fields has been playing solid the last couple weeks despite the Bears’ circumstances. He actually might be the best QB from that draft when it’s all said and done.
  5. I'm not saying the value is spot on, but future picks will always hold less value that current ones. Yeah if the Eagles were offering us next year's first it would take MORE than that to get our first this year, even if we were picking at 32. The Saints did it last year with the Eagles. The traded number 18 for 19 and 16 plus a 23 first, a current 7th, and a 24 2nd. The 18 is higher than the 19 so right away (ignoring the 16th pick for now) the Eagles are winning that. Now the 16th for next year's 1st isn't going to get the trade done (Even with the Eagles winning the first swap 18/19 part of the deal). They had to include a current 3rd, current 7th, AND future 2nd to make it balance on top of the future 1st. If future picks were equal it would have been pick 18 and a future 1st for 16 and 19, but no GM is making that trade... I would imagine Fitt has a value for a 24 year old pro bowl pass rusher and 2 future firsts which would be less than this year's first and next year's (which is less than this year's) was less than that value.
  6. Yeah it might be the 3rd most important position. QB, LT, Pass Rusher. It's why they make the big bucks.
  7. Offer any team their 2nd for our next year's 2nd and see what happens? Even if it's the last pick of the round. It's why we couldn't simply swap next year's 3rd with NE to acquire Corral with their current 3rd, We had to offer our 4th too to make up for the loss of value. Future picks carry less value than current ones.
  8. Oh know I get that, but he was sitting there at 8 and all we had was a big question mark in Darnold. You draft the QB and let him sit behind Darnold (NOT picking up his 5th year). Once Darnold poo the bed we could have been working Fields into the offense. Hindsight is 20/20 but many posters on this board felt the same way at the time.
  9. Burns is staying and CMC is the only good player we traded. @Catsfan69is going to have a stroke....
  10. It's also why we couldn't just give NE our future 3rd for their 3rd to draft Corral. They needed more since a future 3rd doesn't equal a current 3rd.
  11. It means stop using the same logic on skipping over a HUGE need and waiting for the next year. Draft one this year not in 2024, no 2025, no 2026.... We should have sucked it up and drafted Fields IMO 2 years ago.
  12. It's more meaningful for the team getting the pick. A 1st round pick this year can be a QB we draft and will have a full year of experience under his belt by the time we get our first round pick NEXT year. So if we draft (in a vacuum) the same caliber player in 2024, the QB in 2023 should be better that year due to his development/experience. It's the same thing as the $100 I mentioned earlier. If you invest that immediately it will earn money (experience for the player) and be worth more the following year vs receiving it then.
  13. It's like the time/value of money. $100 now is worth more than $100 next year to most people. A player drafted now will have a year of experience under his belt vs one drafted the following year. I'm not saying I agree with it or it's 100% accurate, but that's where it's coming from. That 2nd from the Darnold trade hurt like a 2nd this past year, not a 3rd.
  14. Check out Max Duggan and let me know what you think. @Icegeposted some good stuff.
  15. He is going to show up with some platform shoes and a bag of McDonalds.
  16. Ok? It's still pure speculation... The man running the show during that terrible time period is gone.
  17. Burns doesn't want to be here? Source? Also Peppers wanted to play standing up in the 3-4 which we didn't run so he went to GB where he could.
  18. Also the Vikings are looking pretty legit with him right now...
  19. So let's get one THIS year and put an end to the game. It reminds me of "can he play LT?"
  20. The next year's QB class is a game the Huddle has been playing for 4-5 years now....
  21. So not even 2 firsts (the 2nd and 5th more than offset the 3rd and 6th). I know they weren't a year in advance but it seems like good compensation for Burns who is younger but not the force Mack was.
