  1. I get people thinking 6 is a reach for one, but in the mid/late 20s after repairing some of our OL problems. That might be about right actually…
  2. So a team that would view him as a missing piece would probably own a late first like a Buffalo or San Fran. Say we get their first and a starting LB for CMC. Then we draft Cross at 6 and a QB like Howell/Willis/Corral with our later first. How would people feel about this? Especially if we grab a OG in FA. Potentially Cross, Norwell, Elf, Brown/BC, Moton with a young QB in waiting…
  3. I wonder what they do with Love now? (don’t want him here)
  4. Maybe McAdoo wants to run some 2 TE sets? Thomas Tremble?
  5. 6. Trading down would be ideal, but I don’t see any takers in this draft. Outside if that I’m good with either cheap FA or Willis.
  6. Yuck. Start Brown and bench NJ. Hell draft a OG in the 4th/5th and start him over MJ. BC, FA, Elf, Brown, Moton should be worst case scenario for our OL.
  7. Reason 56,123 why having a lame duck coach with roster control is a terrible idea…
  8. Yeah Bouye should be slot unless he gets cut/traded.
  9. I’m not sure BC will make a good guard in general. He could be a solid LT, but we didn’t get a good look last year. I really like Cross, but I’m not sure he could slide over to guard either. BC might just have to be depth unless he can play center.
  10. He is returning to Boston College this year.
  11. EJ Perry would be interesting as a late round pick. He transferred from Boston College to Brown and put up some good numbers. He looks like one of the more athletically gifted QBs in the draft and was pretty accurate in college.
  12. We have a good strategy of extending players, overpaying, and the trading them so we get the dead cap hit. Trust the process…
  13. Smith knows talent when he sees it. It we don’t get one of the big 3 LTs, I’d be good with trading down or Willis.
  14. I never knew it was actually HasselbEck until I just read this. Unfortunately I’ve been calling him HasselbAck until now…
  15. Hasselback with better mobility wouldn’t be a bad thing IMO.
  16. So Kenny was 67% his one good year. Willis was 61% and 64% the previous year with one of the worst OL performances in front of him. I’d be curious to see if he could raise it 5% with some actual protection like Kenny had…
  17. They took a raw talent from a small school with high upside very high in the draft because of the potential payoff. BTW McAdoo has said he thought Allen was the best prospect in that class. They gambled and it paid off. What makes everyone fine with Buffalo reaching on a prospect like that but freak out saying Willis will bust? I’m not even saying we need to take him, but he is worth an early gamble for a franchise for sure. You need to give Allen more credit. He has spent offseason after offseason perfecting his craft, putting in the time and becoming a more polished player. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/how-josh-allen-used-the-2021-offseason-to-make-these-improvements-in-his-game Some if it is where they land and some if it is the player working his ass off to get better every offseason.
  18. Steve Smith wants Willis in Carolina.
  19. Allen was in the mid 50s for completion % and Willis was in the low 60s. I know you are tired of me comparing the two, but both were/are raw passers with lesser talent around then and Allen can’t just get a pass on it while Willis doesn’t. If you also didn’t want Allen in his draft either then I get what you are saying.
  20. Willis has a freaking cannon as well. Maybe Allen’s is stronger, but I wouldn’t be so quick to write off Willis’s. All of the negatives you are saying about Willis can be applied to Allen’s college tape.
  21. I’m using Allen because he is an athletic QB playing for a small school surrounded by lesser talent. Willis had Liberty playing better than Allen did Wyoming and you could argue Willis had better stats. Allen definitely has a rocket, but have you not seen Willis launching the ball downfield as well?
  22. He defeated Syracuse and VA Tech. I get they aren’t power houses, but there is a huge talent gap in their programs and Liberty. Yeah he had a rough first half against Ole Miss, where he was sacked 7 times in one half! I’m not sure what you expect him to do in a game where his line got crushed and his WRs can’t get open, but yeah the tape looks bad. How did Allen look against top competition in college? What defense did he look good against? While he is still raw as a passer he is further along than Allen was IMO. The transferring to play is a big nothing to me. Players do that all the time, but he said he had a lot of maturing to do while he was at Auburn. He went to Liberty to get a fresh start and got them ranked with a solid record in 2020.
  23. I don’t know if Stafford really has a great football “mind.” I’d say he is average but will usually make some dumb throws especially when plays break down. He needed a loaded team to win a playoff game. Any of these guys can read a defense. The elite minds like a Brady/Manning/Mahomes are able to manipulate and take advantage of these complicated NFL defenses, but that can come with experience/coaching,
