This guy runs a 4.4 with a wingspan the longest of any player in the past 3 decades who was the main piece in Florida’s offense. How did Trask look when Pitts get injured? Not very good. Throw it under to Tooney to launch it deep I n Pitts’ direction and let him make the catch (which he almost always did). That was the Florida offense.

Pride started too soon, but I think he was ok towards the end of the season. He should be better this year. As a third option behind Jackson and Melvin, I’d say he is a good as what many teams have in the league. Regardless I hope we pick up Bouye and draft another CB.

Pitts was also in Florida.

I can see this, but do they draft a QB at 4 and sit him for a few years? They need an impact player especially with Matt Ryan getting up there in age. Pitts would give them Julio, Ridley, and Pitts with Ryan airing it out. If their line can stay healthy that could be one of the top offenses. The 4th best QB to sit a year or two versus the best weapon in the draft? Unless they are just in love with Lance or Fields I would bet on Pitts. The man put up Megatron numbers with a longer wingspan! I could throw the ball to Pitts/Julio/Ridley!

He throws a good pass, but I think he was super inconsistent throughout his career. He would be a pretty big project with the hope that his weaknesses are coachable. Second seems too high, but some team will reach on him. Honestly I think we would be better off drafting Newman in the 4th/5th. He looked rusty in the Senior bowl, but was away from football for a year. Showed some flashes at Wake. High potential with lower risk (later rounds vs second).

Do we really have that many NEEDS? Should we upgrade at certain positions, yeah but you can say that with most teams. Burns, Fox (or Roy),Brown, Reddick for DL Shaq, Perryman, Carter for LB Jackson, Pride, Melvin for CB (upgrade needed, I want Bouye) Chinn and Burris at Safety with Franklin as depth (could use FS upgrade) Teddy (position of NEED) CMC for RB Moore Moore and Anderson for WR Arnold and Thomas for TE (maybe upgrade) Erving (or Scott), Elf, Paradis, Miller, Moton (LT would be a NEED with some G upgrades hopefully) for the line We still have money to sign a FA (hopefully DT or CB upgrade). If we trade next year’s first to jump up to 5 or 6 to guarantee Fields we would be looking pretty good on paper. Grab a LT in the 2nd and I’ll be very happy. To me our NEEDS are QB and LT (CB could be argued)

4 QBs Sewell Pitts If these are all 6 gone we have to look at Surtain, Slater, Mac, Chase, and Smith. Slater/Mac from a positional value and the other 3 are just elite prospects IMO.
