Are you watching the Panthers tomorrow
Stuart Smith replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will be watching them, hope they win. -
Jim Harbaugh flirting with the Carolina Panthers UPDATE
Stuart Smith replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
A similar thought has crossed my mind. I am not a “Sam lover” or a “Sam Hater.” The facts are that Sam has the tools to be a very good quarterback. He has shown marked improvement this year regardless of what the haters say. We have put a lot of work in Sam to just let him walk and start for someone else. That would truly show how inept this franchise is. I believe Harbaugh had looked at film and this factors into his thinking. -
Wilks Set This Team Back
Stuart Smith replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wilkes did what he could to make this team the best it could be. He came within a couple of plays of having the Panthers winning the division. A terrible call on a player for taking off his helmet, one stop by a cornerback against Tampa and this is a different conversation. Wilkes is doing what any of us would have done, trying to save his job or have a worthwhile resume for his next landing place. If Fitterer (or whoever the GM is) does their job as well as Wilkes has this team will be in a much better place to start next season than we were this season. the -

I would like to know if the comments by Bart Scott were the way he really felt or someone above his pay grade was aware of what he was going to say and encouraged it. We may never know.

Rapoport and Pelissero talk head coach openings
Stuart Smith replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Something that people overlook about Tom Brady’s (poor for Brady’s Standards) year is the fact that he did not have the same personnel to work with. He missed Gronk perhaps more than anyone, his replacement was terrible. No matter the quarterback you have to have him quality weapons. If Sam Darnold had Mike Evans, J’Mar Chase, or Justin Jefferson he would have look much better. One example is how much better Kirk Cousins did with Justin Jefferson. Maybe it’s the Panthers receivers as much as the quarterback. -
Meanwhile Taylor Moton never misses a game.

Jim Harbaugh has convo with David Tepper

If he is as great as everyone thinks he could make Darnold a top 15 quarterback and build the roster. -

Getting ready to be a daddy. -
No to Henderson, I don’t see him as being dependable. D’Jax might not make it back 100%, and he has trouble with taller receivers. Smaller receivers he excels. We do need more depth here.
-
I would rather have Marvin Harrison, Jr.
-
D Jax can’t seem to stay healthy. DB should be a high priority, it has hurt us this year. We need some new faces.
-
With all the drama we have had this year I am still counting my blessings as a Panther fan. We are not tethered to a monstrous contract with Deshaun Watson or Russel Wilson for years. Frankly, even though it is still to be determined, I would rather have Darnold next year than either of them.

Getting beat on both sides of the b-ball.

Henderson and Taylor.
-
The most impressive thing to me is he did not let the fumble and the interception rattle him.
-
Darnold getting ragged on, but he is outplaying Brady.
-
Draft defensive back help please.

Sorry to hear.

Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
Stuart Smith replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
There is still at least 2 games to play. After the season is over hopefully we will know whether this should be an option. -
For all intents and purposes I think this is the national championship game.
