  1. Left tackle is more of a concern for me right now than quarterback. Is Icky a bust at left tackle? Do we have to start the search for a left tackle again? It appears this staff did not realize that the reason this offensive line was geared towards a run dominated offense. It would appear this is as big as issue as anything right now. e?
  2. I am not sure if we realized how much missing the starting guards would set this team back. This line was put together as more to run block than pass block. That was one big change from last year. The Offensive tackles have probably been affected by trying to compensate for ineffective guard play as well.
  3. It looks like Reich would have this team prepared for the noise.
  4. For whatever it’s worth Foreman played behind a healthy offensive line too.
  5. If I was the owner of any team at this time I would like to know who is available that has a proven track record as a GM and has drafted successfully. I never hear anyone mention that when the discussion turns to firing our current GM. Do you hire someone that you think might make a good GM with no experience? I think of that more often than I look back at past GM’s of the Panthers.
  6. This is documented in several places if you Google it. It was on Panthers wire as well “McAdoo pushing for Corral.”
  7. I did not say they let him pick him. There were several articles written then that stated that that was who McAdoo wanted. They must have considered his input.
  8. From what we were told then Ben McAdoo was an advocate for drafting Corral. I will agree that was a mistake, we agree on that. If we had not drafted Corral I still am not sure that the choice would have been Howell. Howell had a fantastic sophomore year at Carolina. His junior year he did not look very NFL worthy. He lost 2 running backs to the NFL, he also lost 2 receivers. He did not have the supporting cast on the UNC team to support him and it was reflected in his draft ranking.
  9. How do you blame Fitt solely for not drafting Howell when he was pick # 144, a fifth round pick? You seem to give a pass to the other quarterback needy teams who passed on him for 4 rounds. We don’t even know which of these young guys will prove to be the answer for the team yet. Somehow after one game you give up on our current quarterback. Makes no sense.
  10. An “average” offensive line is far better than the turnstiles we had 3 years ago. We need to put the players around our quarterback.
  11. I hope Howell works out for Washington. Sam Howell was pick #144 in the 5th round of the 2022 draft. Yes, the Panthers passed on him, but so did other teams, multiple times. After Michael Trubisky was the 2nd pick of the Bears in 2017 most teams may have backed away from Anyone from Carolina, who knows. What is a fact is that in his last season at Carolina his production dropped. His 2 running backs and 2 receivers he depended on moved on. This hurt him without a doubt. To be fair, if Sam Howell turns into an all pro it will not be on Fitterer, but Fitterer and 31 other General Managers. It is still mighty early to come to any conclusions about the success of these young quarterbacks.
  12. This years draft produced a starting quarterback and in all likelihood a starting lineman. Please give this group more than one game before throwing them under the bus.
  13. Sam Howell was a fifth round draft pick. Every quarterback needy team passed on him several times. If Howell does turn into a quality quarterback several teams will be saying “what if….”
  14. What about the signings-picks Fitterer has hit on? Drafting or signing Christensen, Ekwonu, Bozeman, Corbett. I still believe in Jaycee Horn. Drafting Zavala and Bryce this year (2 starters in this draft). Whether you say Fitterer-Rhule or Fitterer these have not all been misses. If you look around the league today there are teams like Denver and Cincinnati who are 0-2. We have a young team that has some important key pieces. I refuse to throw in the towel with 16 games to play.
  15. News flash: The Bucs, Saints, or Falcons ain’t winning the Super Bowl. They still have issues as well. We all want to win, I get that. With all the moving parts to this team that were not here last year we need to give them more time than one or two games before we panic. If you look around the league there are a lot of teams that have more issues than the Panthers.
  16. Yea, you have to feel for D.J. He did get 100 yards today, but he has to be asking “why me?”
  17. You think Bears fans might be rethinking how they used the #1 pick this year yet?
  18. This may very well be Rivera’s last year in Washington.
  19. Green Bay had several interception drops today against Ridder, at least one should have been a pick 6, missed opportunity’s. We do need to win vs NO’s, but Bryce will be fine. When we look at this draft in which we got a starting quarterback and perhaps a starting Offensive lineman I still feel good about this Panther team. I hope this all star coaching team proves their worth.
  20. May be but he has hit some receivers in the hands who dropped the ball. However, he has thrown some passers that the Packers dropped that were easy picks.
  21. It will be interesting to see if Debo maintains his stance on the transfer portal. It is obvious he does not have the talented receivers he has had in years past. Other teams have helped themselves in positions of need using the portal. Change is difficult, but if he doesn’t accept that times are changing he is hurting his team, and I respect him.
  22. If you look around the league there are a lot of established quarterbacks that did not fare better Sunday than Bryce. Watching around the league quite a few quarterbacks looked worse. I credit him throwing the 2 interceptions as much on play calling as I do execution. Bryce will be fine.
