You think an NFL team would give him a 4 year, $60 million contract if Horn played less than half of the team's games in 4 consecutive seasons due to injury? I don't think a team would even offer him a 1 year, $15 million contract unless very little of it was guaranteed and/or it was filled with injury clauses

If he had gotten hurt for the year last season, dude is playing on the club option 5th year or getting offered a cheap multi-year contract. If he gets hurt the club option year, he will be getting closer to vet minimum since he proved he couldn't stay healthy 4 consecutive seasons. Just saying that it wasn't crazy to offer him last offseason and see how close they could get on numbers. Now we paid a dude that has maybe played in 50% of our games a $100 million contract.... The dude isn't getting 15 million open market on 3 consecutive injury-riddled seasons. And just because his dad has money doesn't mean he has money...

With the rate he was getting injured, wouldn't have been the worst decision for him to accept a 4 year, $60ish million contract for financial security

Perfect, that means we probably go 10-6. ESPN is probably about the least reliable source of sports knowledge, including people that have never played or watched sports for their entire life

While I agree, this team has not played well the past month while other teams got better. We are at best a 1 and done playoff team

26 won't matter because Dallas won't be a bottom 10 team. I doubt they are in 28 also. Don't think that will have much of an impact

I don't wish injury upon many athletes, but I definitely won't shed a single tear if mikko tears his acl first game for Dallas

Honestly, if this is what we need to clean house and make changes with the coaching staff, I allow it. No offense to Rod, but his system doesn't win playoff series + his assistants are all useless.

Hopefully this team just falls apart so we don't have to see them make the playoffs and get swept like they always do

Disappointing we didn't do anything else today with trades. Either trade for someone to improve or start trading away dudes. Standing pat and doing nothing is unacceptable

Yeah, Stankoven is pretty awful and I think Dallas doesn't have a 1st this year, so it will be future firsts. Awful value - I'd rather just keep Rantanen here the rest of the year, tie him to the goal posts, and have everyone on our team take turns spearing him

Can't fault the front office for trying - we weren't going to keep Necas past this year anyway. If anything, better for it to happen now than give the bum 13 mill over 8 years for him to be a cone out there

Whenever we play him next, I hope our team just constantly goes for charges on him the entire game. I would gladly take a 10 game suspension from any of our players to knock that jackass out for the season

I think Dallas knows they don't have to give us anybody, so I am expecting a disappoint return here. I'd almost rather just spite him and throw him with the 4th line and let him get poo on by other team the rest of the year to make his +/- look a lot worse. Maybe our defenders can throw him suicide passes and let other teams tee off on him
