If he even shows a pulse in training camp, he'll be on the roster, we are desperately thin at LB and with his DE and Special teams versatility, I'd almost guarantee him to make it as long as he shows any of the flashes he did his first season.

As a die hard astros fan, I want it just so I can catch some astros games, that would be amazing.

DaQuan Jones on The Golden Calf of Bristol
Carolina Cajun replied to Smithers's topic in Carolina Panthers
True, but FWIW, he was still playing baseball, got to believe he was forced to stay in shape. If he tries the taysom hill approach, he'll be trash, if they use him as a TE/FB/WR hybrid, I think he could be alright. -
DaQuan Jones on The Golden Calf of Bristol
Carolina Cajun replied to Smithers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sounds crazy, but I think Timmy will be alright, his problem wasn't that he wasn't worth a roster spot, its that he refused to switch positions which made him expendable. if he stays at TE (which is where he should been all along), hell be alright. -
Trey Wingo and Tony Pauline on Panthers draft class
Carolina Cajun replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
also the question is if they can avoid the injury bug like they did last year -
I literally am struggling to find a true off field issue, only thing I'm finding is that he has a learning disability, which as long as he has the maturity, shouldn't be an issue and if anything else makes me more proud (As a parent of a child with autism) to support him than I did beforehand.

Our old friend Emory Hunt gives his thoughts on NFCS draft
Carolina Cajun replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its been great to see Emory grow over the past few years, he's really turning into a solid commentator, and I do think hes dead on with his evaluation in this one. -
Round 6 (C) Thomas Fletcher - LS - Alabama
Carolina Cajun replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ive always wondered why we didnt take flyers on special teamers in the 6th and 7th, the one time we did we nailed harrison butker, we were just too stupid to keep him. -
Round 6 (A) Deonte Brown - G - Alabama

Noticed "short arms" on his evaluation too, gonna guess our staff doesnt put almost any stock in that. Love the pick. -
Double dip SEC CB's, select Tyson Campbell in round 2

"Just in, sam darnold is awaiting his career and possible life threatening injuries due to having a bowl of potato salad protecting his blind side." -
Trade back with NE to 15, Get a nice haul like pick 8 for NE 15, 2nd round, and 4th and a 4th next year. We pick Jaycee Horn at 15.

Peter King has us taking Justin Fields
Carolina Cajun replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
If fields drops, its a very good possibility that we were the ones tanking his stock with "unnamed sources", just saying. -

Teams looking to trade up for quarterbacks
Carolina Cajun replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we traded for darnold and had no plan to improve the o-line, then we legit are no better than the jets. Sewell or slater must be the pick at 8, Or the trade is worthless. -
FWIW, Adam gase legit might be one of the worst head coaches in modern nfl history. If it werent for Hue Jackson, he would definitely hold the title for the last decade or so.

Predicted Outcome of Darnold Trade
Carolina Cajun replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm willing to give him a chance. FWIW, Im hoping he turns into our Steve Young. Steve young was awful his first 2 years in the NFL, but change of scenery and a team around him that wasn't trash he ends up in the HOF. I'm not saying Darnold is a HOFer, but he absolutely could be a good NFL starter.
