He is not the 1st bad owner in the league. I think he is too dumb to know that he doesn't know. He said on the All In documentary that the league is set up for everyone to be .500, and it is all the other things that make the difference between being a winner and loser. So when you really parse that down, he believes that the team could be 1 player away, 1 coach away, and that, more than anything is why this team has no direction, has no identity, has no core, has no face of the franchise, and has no hope of success. Bust Young was going to be the type of qb, with the way he throws the ball, that we wouldn't have to go out and spend resources on good wrs. We are always just 1 player away. I really think that he completely bought into Rhule's nonsense about being really really really close every week, until it became obvious it wasn't working.

You might as well ask the sun to not rise. Bust Young is not an NFL quarterback.

I think I agreed with your statement for the most part.

I don't know how accurate that statement is, but I would say with a strong defense it is more likely a team can control the game and grind out wins against better competition sometimes, rather than playing shootouts where the team with the ball last, wins.

I would go to a Shakira show. What is not to like there? Unfortunately, she goes more for futbol players that screw around on her, more than an American silver fox that would treat her like royalty. Makes for better song material I suppose.

After Jake injured his elbow, I thought we should have immediately started looking for his replacement. We were the stupidest team in the league for a while then. I didn't spend anything on Panthers for a few years. Not that it mattered to the team, but I wasn't going to spend money on a garbage product. We are back to that same level of stupidity.

Well, calling the Panthers a professional team is a stretch. Only thing professional about them is they are paid.

Most of the value pieces on this team have already been traded for non-magic beans. That said, there is something to committing to a rebuild that has a plan and takes tangible, measured steps towards that end. Instead, we have had the opposite of that approach, and it's been more like willy-nilly get rich quick schemes year after year.

There is only so much mileage that you can get out of the bad roster reason. The roster is terrible. No argument at all. These players didn't sign themselves to deals though.

It sure is fun to be talking draft before Halloween! Everyone it seems wants to trade down for a haul of picks. But what player is there that will generate that kind of pay out? Teams make deals like that when a qb is in play. Someone will trade up for Ewers? Sanders? Or similar?

I am very ok to see Bust Young out there as the personal protector on punts. Another heralded SEC trophy-winning qb extended his dwindling NFL career that way as well. It's so ridiculous it might be actually be funny.

I know. I switched over to Niners-Chiefs. I do not care 1 bit about either team, but the game is more compelling and entertaining.
