  1. 1 here. I don't think we are very good. Maybe we can be entertaining though. Anyway, I would rather be pleasantly surprised with a couple of wins, rather than being angry and annoyed every Sunday because the team is just flat out terrible.
  2. Going all the way to something like the Dollar General Bowl.
  3. They have been fixated on flashy and splashy offense under Blank's ownership. It hasn't paid off, but they definitely have a type and style.
  4. 4 wins. They could get to 6 or 7 depending on lucky bounces and fortunate breaks. The real problem is that the offense will have to average 30-something points because the defense will easily give up 30-something points. They just are not that good enough unfortunately.
  5. Just go ahead and put in other Bryce. I know it doesn't really matter, but Plummer is just terrible.
  6. It's a step up in competition as well. The gap in athletic skill is narrowed from what was faced at the college level.
  7. "Bold, stupid and very accurate predictions" Despite his overwhelming Broncos fandom, I like this channel. Look beyond the comedy routines and these are pretty sound and fair takes. No Panthers mentions, because no one cares, but he did not predict us to be the worst in the NFC. https://youtu.be/03y5RLXmj4k?si=EUxjTSm5SeVEK_2z
  8. Wilson was traded from the Jets for a 6th round pick and the Broncos got him and a 7th in return I think. Or vice versa. I wouldn't expect it to be anything more than that, if even that much for trade terms.
  9. He will have his redemption shot at some point this year, so long as he is not too tired. Jones has far too much of an injury history to not miss time.
  10. Personally, I am of the opinion that Jones was drafted mostly on the reputation and name of David Cutcliffe. He has never demonstrated any other reason to be drafted that high, or to stick around in the league for the amount of time he has.
  11. Eh. For all we know, Richardson is just extra tired and asked to come out of the game for the season.
  12. That's still way overpriced.
  13. It's probably more along the lines of the word being out that we have highly impatient ownership that is eager to make short-sighted, poorly thought out deals in a desperate attempt to win now.
  14. I'm still waiting on TMJ to "take someone's job."
  15. The best is when we make JAGs into All Pros, and then are consumed with disappointment and anger when they inevitably flop and can't possibly live up to the expectations.
  16. You are fighting the good fight on this, but I think it is all for naught. Some of these proposals are ridiculous.
  17. I would be shocked if they took trash and scraps for him. They've already said at some point he is just going to have to be happy with that they offer up. His asking price is not 20 million or that ballpark per year either. That kind of gets to the heart of the matter anyway. Bengals have been trying to sign him to a prove-it kind of deal, short term, lower money but a slight bump from his salary now, and he feels, rightfully, that he has proven it already.
  18. At some point the only thing you can do is laugh. There comes a point when you really just have to accept that it's not going to work out. Not in the cards. Not in the stars. I love football. I played it, and I have been employed in the sport. The shitty Panthers that find ways to lose over and over are not going to ruin it for me, try as they might. Mike Brown gets a bunch of flak for how the Bengals are ran, and deservedly so maybe. I think we are at that level. Every once in a while there will be a good year. The 2005 team is my favorite Panthers team. They almost got to it. But for the most part, every year is the same old poo over and over. This year will be no different. There isn't going to be a remarkable playoff run. There isn't going to be a magical trip to the big game. There isn't going to be an MVP season. They might win 4 games. Maybe 6 or 7 if they catch some breaks. What can you do? Except shrug, laugh, wait until next year.
  19. We've all been full of angst about never having back-to-back winning seasons, but look on the bright side. After this season, we will have had 8 straight losing seasons, and that puts us right on the precipice of a decade of straight losing seasons. Quite the lowly accomplishment.
  20. As John Fox was fond of declaring, "It is what it is." We don't draft well, we don't scout well, we don't hire well, and the mascot is a back cat. Hey, we've been to 2 Superbowls and lost both of them, and nearly made a 3rd.
  21. It's ok. These games don't count. Practice? We're talking about practice! We haven't been eliminated from the playoffs yet. We just need to get on a run. Get a couple of bounces to go our way. Superbowl is still possible.
