  1. If true and Arians is in just 'spin' mode with the media, that will be 2-of-4 team in this division looking at significant revamping going into next season. When I read stuff like this and realize Rhule is still around while other divisional foes are on the downswing, it's one face palm moment after another. We really should be in the pole position to take charge of the NFCS, but instead we are just flopping around like fish out of water.
  2. Not a whole lot of savings to be had this year. It looks like our 2022 cap isn't going to get much better. We just suck it up this year. Hopefully next year with Rhule gone, a full slate of draft picks (fingers crossed) and a handful of guys whose cap savings significantly out weigh their dead cap, it will be time to get this team going in the right direction. For the little bit of cap savings with some of these guys, it's not worth trading off the dead cap for 2023. I'd much rather start 2023 with little-to-no dead cap, of which we are saddled with no dead cap currently.
  3. Yep, normally by this time I have the top 5 or 6 prospects in most key positional groups already studied and a mini-big board formulated. This year I just can't get into it. With Rhule here next year and lacking ANY day 2 picks, I just have about zero enthusiasm for this draft season. It sucks too, because normally this is my FAVORITE time of year.
  4. I know this really a profile on the QBs, but it can also be viewed as a condensed scouting report.
  5. Here's one from GBN on the top six QBs. Not as detailed as individual scouting reports can be, but good enough for the top guys in a positional group that you can get a sense of what they are thinking. FWIW, this is my go-to site. Extremely good at scouting, but as for mock drafts, that's not their best suit. 2022 QB Scouting Report (Top 6)
  6. How many coaches did MJ go though? Did he seem to stick with losing coaches because he liked them? I get Tepper wants to be patient, but Rhule is a freaking joke in the NFL. Sure he may be an effective coach at the college level, but not in this League. Our fan base is already checking out for 2022 and don't have the patience for Rhule to continue to 'figure it out' at this level for another season or two.
  7. And Rodgers looking for a way out.
  8. Mine is: 1. Falcons 2. Bucs 3 Panthers 4. Saints Trust me, it was REALLY hard to put the Falcons in first, but they have their core still intact. If the Bucs can find a decent veteran QB in FA, they still have a fairly stout squad. The only reason I have the Panthers above the Saints is I think the N.O. is going full-blown rebuild. They have no reason to keep kicking their dead cap down the road. New coach, get the cap back under control, but brace for a 2-3 years of hardship.
  9. Let's see if Tepper has two future NFL GMs in his ranks like his predecessor. Tepper is a fugging joke, just like his clown head coach.
  10. A little nuance in there from Brooks...'all three OTs could be gone.' If that were to happen, I'm not sure who I would take a #6 and no simply saying "trade back" is an option because more than likely, it will not be. No, a corner is not my top option even in that scenario.
  11. Do you really want me to roll out a list of top 10 QBs who were complete busts? There are a TON more 'JaMarcus Russell's' in this scenario than 'Robert Gallery's.'
  12. We have zero business taking a QB this year, unless a late round developmental/backup type. I think this QB class will be a complete bust. Maybe one will wind up (Corral or Pickett) being a franchise QB, but a middling one at that (think Baker Mayfield). I have seen where a couple media draft-guys have us taking a CB. Bucky Brooks thinks that only because ALL THREE OTs are gone before pick #6. That's what is so mind blowing here is Panthers fans are so desperate for a QB that they are willing to roll the dice on what is arguably the worst QB class in years over potential franchise OTs.
  13. First round QBs are hardly a sure thing either, ask Panthers fans about Sam Darnold (former first round pick). When you have a known commodity, you take it. The top three OTs are as solid as they come. Not one of these QBs are considered a lock to be franchise QBs. Heck none of them should even start their rookie season.
  14. Love the first half of the question by the OP, absolutely despise the second half of the question.
  15. No higher than the 3rd as of now. We have the #3 pick (Houston) in the 4th with Jax and most likely Cleveland not taking QBs there. So if Zappe makes it out of the 3rd round, there's no reason we couldn't draft him.
  16. I see Brady as a swing tackle. He's not physical enough to be a guard and not quite got it all together to be a franchise tackle.
  17. If you do sign here Aaron, make sure you live south of the border, though.
  18. We have zero business taking QB at #6 unless you want Rhule fired sometime after game 4.
  19. The last time three OTs went in the top 10 was 2013 and those were: Eric Fischer #1, Luke Joeckel #2 and Lane Johnson #4. Two of the three panned out extremely well. Joeckel was viewed as a bust, but had two really bad season-ending injuries in his first four years and the may have played a part in it.
  20. My favorite draft site now has the big 3 OTs at #2, #4 and #8...Neal, Ekwonu and Cross respectively. This OT class is deep AND top heavy. WE ARE IDIOTS if we pass up an OT at #6! Crap, I wouldn't mind using that second 5th or the 6th rounder on another tackle as a developmental/backup type.
  21. Nah, Rhule is going to 'Hurney' this thing up right as Tepper shows him the door next season. We'll have stupid contracts, hardly any cap space and no better off than this year.
