That was a jail break. Sewell's guy was one of three who met at the QB. The guy who really got beat like a drum was the RG and the QB couldn't step up into the pocket...thus both edge rushers were able to get home as well.
-
Once I realized we looking to acquire a veteran QB, my hopes for us drafting Lance were dashed. Then Detroit smashed my other draft wish by taking Sewell. Oh well, I can always fondly dwell on the 2020 draft.

The roster cut down of 5 players is stupid. Ten or even fifteen, sure. Five? Heck we keep churning the bottom five of the roster anyhow. I doubt this game changes the bottom 5 guys that get cut.
-
Yup, Lance was my draft crush, but it was not to be. He going to prove a lot of people wrong. I still think it's hilarious that some people thought he'd fall to the back half of round 1.

Ranking the Panthers Rookies(TheAthletic)

I liked the draft overall, not nearly as good as the 2020 draft though. We really could have used a DE, LB and C with the Brown, Fletcher and Hoskins selections. All the others made sense at either position and/or draftee. -
I'm still saying 9, possibly 10 wins. I think we win a few of those close games that we managed to lose all of last year. Joey Slye can't choke on all his game winners either. Playoffs? Eh, it depends if we get that 10th win and if the NFC is having a down year, so possibly a wildcard, but no better.

Only if I don't get a bite on the entire package. At that point, I'll sale them game by game on Panthers ticket exchange. Yes, PSL holders can sell tickets by game, in clusters or the entire season...it's up to them. I'd prefer to get it done in one fell swoop, but I can go the longer route if need be.
-
Didn't the Jets/Giants new stadium use a form of PSLs? I could have sworn I remember some of those guys coming over here complaining about it because they knew we were the first team to do it.
-
That's why we keep Zylstra on the team, a reliable possession guy that can play STs.
-
It wasn't a waste of money. I got really good use out of them for many, many years. Buying PSLs now? Yes, pointless and they will be worthless the moment Tepper breaks ground on a new stadium. Funny thing was the team had representatives trying to rope training camp spectators in to buying PSLs at the entrance.

Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Monday Thread

Yes, #6 was running the 2-minute to wrap up practice and looked quite good. -
Hey all. I am selling my season tickets (again) this year. My normal buyer got uppity and went lower bowl this season. That said, I live two hours away am tired of making the trip and have been doing so for 15 years. I am asking FACE VALUE; just under $1.6k for 2 seats. Please do no inquire if you want to haggle. Yes, I really will let them sit empty. Section 504, row 14 under the scoreboard. Hit me up with a PM if you are interested. Again, SERIOUS inquiries ONLY.

Yep and he has yet to play a full 16, now 17, game schedule. His career average is just at 1 pick per start. The math is pretty easy to extrapolate out over 16-17 games. -

Yep, I've seen this footage a ton, but in the video he was rolling left and passed in the same 1/4 of the field. A totally different scenario rolling to the wide side, throwing a pass that has to cover 2/3 of the field, cross-body and going against your momentum. Again, QB 101...a huge no-no. -

Yep, but those are very throws that freak people out about Darnold and why he has historically had a high number of picks. I agree, I'd rather have that than a pure game manager, but the picks will happen. Darnold will never be a 10 pick a season or fewer QB with the chances he takes. -

As good of a one-handed snag that Robby had, the throw was just a impressive. Voth said 20+ yards, it was actually 30+ from my vantage point. Darnold was rolling right with defense hot on his heels and he threw cross field, across his body to Robby and still nearly overthrew him. Now the scary part, you all do know the #1 cardinal sin for a QB? Well, that was it and he threw it anyway. Maybe he knew it was just practice and wouldn't have done that in a game situation. It worked out and ended up being a beautiful play, but you still have to question Darnold's thought processes sometimes. -

PJ ran a good 2 minute drill to end practice. He was very sharp on all his passes. -
He seems to have the arm strength, though not exactly a gunslinger. He's mobile enough and isn't shy about trying to throw into tight windows.

I just got home from watching practice. Robby's one-handed grab was the highlight of an otherwise short and uneventful practice. It's hard to glean too much since they stay on the far field almost exclusively. -
Larkin getting cut too with an injury settlement is a bit surprising. This is why we should have used one of those 11 draft picks on a DE. Linebacker a DE were two missed opportunities from the draft. To that point, look at the spots we keep churning.
-
I'm usually a fan of the small-school guys, but being an undrafted small-school guy, he had a major uphill battle to land a roster spot. I thought he'd at least make the practice squad.
-
They decided they didn't need him any Moore.
-
To be cut from our OL is pretty bad. His small-school game probably didn't translate to the NFL.
