Here's my bet, we cut Grier and sign a QB after cuts and stash him on the PS. Remember, Rhule was coy about whether or not we were even keeping 3 QBs this season. Grier just made that an easy decision.
-
So the staff had no confidence in the OL and that's why they had Grier routinely hand the ball off? I call BS. That's 100% coach-speak.
-
Nah, there's even varying levels to sucking and Grier is at the top of the list...err, or is that the bottom?
-
This. Is an emergency QB worth keeping if you know they suck? This should be a rhetorical question.
-
That what happens when you know you suck and feel the need for an extra step to prevent the sack. Unfortunately, it's illegal to do so.
-
LOl, Grier still manage to fumble.
-
Grier will take a knee and save his arse...
-
There's no way Grier is the #2 after today.
-
I hated the pick then and NOTHING has changed.
-
He keeps the clipboard warm, safe and dry.
-
Panic will cause that to happen.
-
Run....
-
Uh oh, a pass longer than five yards.
-
Pride is done. He will waived with injury designation.
-
Bets on a kicker being brought into camp next week?
-
Still slicing the heck out of the ball. Five more yards back and that was a miss.
-
That was ugly. Dude does not handle pressure well...at...all!
-
Plus the player who batted it back in bounds went OB prior to coming back in to bat the ball.
-
The nose of the ball out-of-bounds. It's a lost fumble OB, Panther's ball where the ball went out.
-
Ah, I get it now. The Panthers are trying to get the Colts to stack the box with all the handoffs so Grier can get an easy deep ball to build his confidence!
-
First pass attempt beyond dump-off range results in a sack for Grier.
-
No confidence in Grier, a play action fake would have been a perfect call.
-
It's like they are trying to get Will in short an manageable where the defense can't tee off on him.
-
He was injured, that's why.
-
That's impressive running.
