Not sure you’re watching the right player then
-
Think the eagles grabbed him UDFA
-
Yeah agree, this is clear. BC can be an average at best LT in this league while Icky can potentially be a pro bowl LT. No way you take a year away from him to learn the position in the NFL just because BC is a better pass protector as of this very minute (which is 2 preseason games in). That would be extremely stupid.
-
Yeah was pretty clear where he struggled. Rhule is dumb but not THAT dumb. he knows he needs reps so he has him out there learning. He’ll be in the film room learning this week
-
Not sure why people don’t believe having one of the fastest releases in the past few years isn’t considered a physical trait. I mean Cam was a massive DE with WR speed and a howitzer laser arm so I get we are spoiled but come on lol dudes not Kirk Cousins/Alex Smith level
-
Watch the replay it’s not a hard on to follow. His guy was there, the LB just dropped into coverage and Matt telegraphed it the entire way staring down first read. It’s not like he was throwing to air, just a really bad decision to not move off your first read (or most likely he never saw the LB drop and just missed the coverage)

Man this is a bad take. There’s a difference between great athletes playing pretend QB and good quarterback who are also great athletes. Darnold is the first, elite physical tools who just doesn’t have it (even had the same issues at USC where his physical traits masked it). Corral is to be determined but what he did in the SEC is more impressive than Darnolds career. More yards, higher completion pct, better yards per pass avg, same amount of TDs all in a conference with way more NFL ready defenses. just flat out wrong to dismiss him already as an athlete who just happens to play QB.

Looks like Ickey got away with false start there
-
Did you not see it? Dirty as fug on the Pats.
-
Tecklenberg unfortunately
-
If all your assumptions pan out I think it’s just DL. We have elite offensive skill weapons. CMC and DJ are as good RB/WR1 combo you’ll find in the NFL and Robbie is a legit 2

Brian Baldinger breaks down the Panthers' offensive tackles

Man I never saw it. I always had him rated as a distant third coming out behind Ickey and Cross. I will say I wanted Cross and he looked pretty good last night minus a few holds, but I'm super excited for Ickey and think he is the better fit for what Mcadoo wants to do -
Say's who? You? I would find many who disagree with that

Panthers "Starting Center" Bozeman Injury Not Considered Serious
jb2288 replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
wait.... what kind of center? does Will know something we don't -
Feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t hate how this was handled. 99% of his reps were at LT all camp and he was named the starter before preseason week 2. I don’t think it was the worst thing in the world to not just give it to him right of the bat. Yeah we all knew he’d be the LT but doesn’t hurt to at least act like there is some sort of earning that had to be done for a rookie. Rhule has a lot of head scratchers but this seems pretty normal to me

not sure how you possibly got that with the lack of footage that is being released, but by all accounts Baker has had 2 really good days in a row now and his stats on the 2 min were fine. me thinks you have an agenda
-
no no no, the tweet is wrong. Matt just never left practice from Saturday so he's still technically first
-
I see Sam to the Rams possibly in the near future...

Fitz is retired for good imo -
No reason for PJ to be here imo. Baker with the 1s, Sam/Matt splitting with the 2s/3s
-
You’re completely missing the point and harping on one thing. First on the field is just one of a thousand things a player can do to show coaches how committed and driven they are. Film study, Weight room, off season throwing sessions. Those things matter and all things being equal can play a part in the decision. forrest for the trees
-
You’d be in the minority here. If 2 players on field performance is the same, the coach is going to 9/10 times go with the one that shows more initiative, heart, guts, all that stuff. That stuff matters way way more than a fraction of a tenth second forty time
-
yeah you really have until we get to 53 to be worried. Think that is the last week of August
-
what's the point of this comment? throw out Brady and Stafford, every top qb these days run to some extent
-
Man keeping PJ makes no sense. Reps need to be split between 3, not 4
