  1. Patriots released him, per Schefter.
  2. TBH, I didn’t see a lot of him before we drafted him but heard all of the exciting comparisons. But then seeing him in the brief time he played again before getting injured with us, I don’t have a ton of hope he’ll ever amount to anything. Maybe it was a result of the initial injury, but to me, he looked very slow and heavy footed.
  3. I had mine removed in emergency surgery a few years back. I was 33 or so at the time. It wasn’t tough at all. They triangulate the incisions (like three small inch wide incisions in a triangular pattern), then they stitch you up. I think I was limited from heavy lifting/exercise for 2 or 3 weeks after, but I definitely felt like I was capable of doing more before I was allowed. Knowing the NFL they will probably fast track him and say he’s ready by the opener. But if I was Ickey, I probably would sit out the first week. How you feel and what you’re capable of without injuring yourself worse are two different things.
  4. Yeah, I saw a tweet elsewhere, I think it was one of our best writers, and they said “the ball is in [Hunter Renfrow’s] court.” So sounds like we cut him to get down to the limit and give him time to figure out if he wants to play or not, and if he does, we’ll bring him back.
  5. Guess that means no plans to bring back Renfrow. Wow.
  6. The way Dane Jackson went from #2 to “who was that guy?” Is crazy.
  7. I mean sneaking as in, no one noticed he’s available or was being hyped up all offseason.
  8. Yeah, I can’t say I’ve kept up with him closely the last couple years, but I am kind of surprised because I thought he had turned a corner a couple years ago with AZ.
  9. I agree. Moore is a marginal NFL player. And the advanced analytics bear out that he isn’t very good, but in fact, is more of a minus than a plus. But we always have to have those guys that we can’t explain as to why they’re on our roster for years. Honestly, it was the same poo we just did with Plummer. He should’ve never been on any NFL roster, let alone ours for two years. Then he gets cut after this preseason, and not just cut, but cut first. Like I took our FO two years to figure out he wasn’t just bad, but horrible.
  10. Yeah, for all of his “lacking a natural position,” he still would probably be the best ILB on our roster, and one of the better safeties.
  11. I’m not worried about PR. Horn did it some in college, but even watching him in preseason, he’s a natural at it. He has shiftiness and playmaking ability naturally as well. but I absolutely do think HR, nursing a hammy or not, should 1000% be on this roster over Moore.
  12. I didn’t see a ton of Brycen, but he looked impressive to me. I honestly think his physicality plus his ability to play ST coverage is likely what gave him a spot over HR.
  13. Yeah. This feels like politics. i also suspect they think they’re gonna be able to sneak him back on the practice squad and bring him up depending on what they need week to week.
  14. Both the Mitchell’s made it at TE. Interesting. also, we should sign Isaiah Simmons. I thought I read we were interested at some point?
  15. Happy about JHJ. Moore is JAG. Surprised they aren’t electing to give Tremayne his spot.
  16. It’s literally the team saying,”be reasonable or go to hell. Football hell.”
  17. Not only that, but it’s an inter-division trade. This guy got paid to write this?
  18. Ngl, I know WR is probably our deepest unit, but Jahdae Walker from Chicago looks like a fuging baller if the Bears let him go. Super smooth, athletic, great body control and awareness.
  19. For us to eat salary, and then being the team interested and in need, I would demand a 3rd to do it. otherwise, we are just fine as is.
  20. And also, regarding Perkins…. I literally told one of my buddies, his first three throws last night were better than any and every throw Plummer attempted for two whole seasons. That tells you all you need to know. If the BY experiment goes off the rails early, I would love to see Perkins get some reps.
  21. I didn’t listen to his interview, as I had the volume down, but that is awesome. I’m kind of hyped about safety bc I think Richardson is also a helluva player in his own right.
  22. Still crazy that TIL Thielen was the offensive maestro that told Bryce what he was looking at and now I’m like: because, it all makes sense now. Like we all know AT was THE VET. He is a mentor and locker room leader. But I had no idea he was also helping Bryce figure out defenses on the field in real-time. It makes me believe even less in Bryce, and that’s hard to do. I get it, I know vets help rookie QBs on the field, but more in passing. But to be the guy setting up the alignments and tell the QB what he’s looking at during plays? Smh. We shouldn’t have even entertained a second, let alone a third year of this experiment.
  23. I was just gonna say, Canales earned my respect with that move coming in as the new guy and being able to objectively say, “sit him. He’s not good,” regarding your owner’s pet project and former #1 overall pick in his second year. I was explaining to my friend who is a Bears fan that while the pieces we’ve added could help Bryce, we essentially are putting the ball in his court - if you can’t win with this, the next guy will. QB will now be a plug and play position for us if the Bryce experiment fails because every position around QB is ready to win.
  24. Welp, if it’s done, then we just pulled the pin. Good.
  25. I’d let AT make the decision if he wants to go or not. He’s earned it. We don’t need to make the trade, but he also doesn’t have much tread left on the tires… it could give us assets while allowing him to possibly compete for more in his final year or two. Let him decide.
